{"id":10121,"date":"2009-04-27T15:08:37","date_gmt":"2009-04-27T20:08:37","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/valorguardians.com\/blog\/?p=10121"},"modified":"2009-04-27T15:08:37","modified_gmt":"2009-04-27T20:08:37","slug":"i-have-a-suggestion-for-mr-zimerman","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.azuse.cloud\/?p=10121","title":{"rendered":"I have a Suggestion for Mr. Zimerman"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Here is part of an <a href=\"http:\/\/latimesblogs.latimes.com\/culturemonster\/2009\/04\/krystian-zimermans-shocking-walt-disney-concert-hall-debut.html\">LA Times article <\/a>that confirms that this Polish piano prodigy is a complete douche.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Poland&#8217;s Krystian Zimerman, widely regarded as one of the finest pianists in the world, created a furor Sunday night in his debut at Walt Disney Concert Hall when he announced this would be his last performance in America because of the nation&#8217;s military policies overseas.<\/p>\n<p>Before playing the final work on his recital, Karol Szymanowski\u2019s &#8220;Variations on a Polish Folk Theme,&#8221; Zimerman sat silently at the piano for a moment, almost began to play, but then turned to the audience. In a quiet but angry voice that did not project well, he indicated that he could no longer play in a country whose military wants to control the whole world. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cGet your hands off of my country,\u201d he said.
