His name was not released. <\/p>\n<p>Police detained a man in his late 50s in connection with the incident, which happened at the store on Gresham Road. Cunningham\u2019s father, who did not want to give his name, said they didn\u2019t find anyone there.<\/p>\n<p>Police were also called; according to a summary of the incident, officers found no sign of forced entry.<\/p>\n<p>A short time later, before 11 p.m., Cunningham\u2019s father said, a man who appeared to be the same person seen on store security video activating the store\u2019s alarm returned to the area near the shop, and Cunningham held him at gunpoint.<\/p>\n<p>In \u201cabout two minutes,\u201d police had arrived and arrested the man, Cunningham\u2019s father said.<\/p>\n<p>Police said officers contacted the suspect (Gerardo Bravo-Infante, 24 y\/o) and located a loaded firearm in his vehicle.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>0 \/ 1 \/ 0<br \/>\nRead the rest here: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mercurynews.com\/2020\/06\/01\/fremont-gun-store-owner-holds-man-at-gunpoint-after-attempted-burglary\/\">Mercury News<\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>Man shot, killed during burglary attempt at South Philadelphia gun store, police say<\/strong><\/p>\n<blockquote><p>By Corey Davis<br \/>\nPHILADELPHIA (WPVI) &#8212; Police said one person is dead following a shooting during a burglary attempt inside a South Philadelphia gun store early Tuesday.<\/p>\n<p>It happened around 4:20 a.m. on the 1500 block of South Front Street in the Pennsport section of the city.<\/p>\n<p>Police were called to the Firing Line Gun Range and Gun Store.<\/p>\n<p>Officers said when they arrived at the store they found a man on the second floor with a gunshot wound to the head. He was pronounced dead at the scene<\/p>\n<p>Investigators said the gun shop owner told them he was staking out his store following an earlier burglary attempt. He said he watched the security screen show three or four men use wire cutters to break through the gate and enter the store.<\/p>\n<p>The owner said he pointed his gun at the man inside the store and fired, striking him in the head.
