The internet is great, isn’t it? One can be a great distance from a city like Philadelphia, where police cars were trashed by looters and pillagers, or a smaller midwestern town like Aurora, IL, where a bank was broken into and looted and set on fire during last night’s pillaging exercises.\u00a0 I can tune into BBC in the UK and get their news, too, thanks to the interwebs, and while I live a great distance from the city I worked in for several decades, I can keep in touch with the place online. I can do that with Dallas, TX, if need be.\u00a0 And during these perilous times, in which everything becomes a target for destruction “just because—“, seeing things from a distance is sufficient.<\/p>\n

So when the there was a news report this morning that a bank in the town of Aurora, IL, had been broken into and looted, and the reporters at the desk were talking to an FBI agent about it, the agent said that any time a bank is broken into, whether or not anything is taken, it becomes a federal offense. Remember that if you decide to pull a Bonnie & Clyde and rob a bank at gunpoint. Now the Feds are involved, and they will be even more involved if any more banks are broken into during these riots.<\/p>\n

It’s clear that this destruction is not over yet. Unless the weather turns bitterly cold and we have snow in June, or something like that, or a couple of massive tornadoes go buzzing along the route of a bunch of protesters and give them what-for, I think this will go on for several weeks. After all, Antifa has made an appearance, and we all know what peaceful creatures they are, don’t we?\u00a0 Yeah, that’s the loosely organized group cobbled together on the internet, with which a bunch of thugs styling themselves Antifa in Philadelphia, last year beat up two Marines who were minding their own business, and went to jail for it. Real geniuses, weren’t they?<\/p>\n

This year, Philadelphia rioters took to the streets, looted stores and other businesses, trashed a line of police cars and stole stuff out of them (not guns, fortunately), and generally trashed the area where they were “protesting” by destroying shops and businesses.<\/p>\n

Do you want to know where all of this is going? Yeah, me, too.<\/p>\n

It isn’t quite like the Weathermen staging a 4-day protest in 1969 and calling it the Days of Rage.<\/p>\n
