ANTIFA, or Anti Fascists, is a far-left militant movement of autonomous groups in mostly left-wing cities, and sees itself as a descendant of European anti-Nazi movements. They find the only way to combat ideas they disagree with is by direct action and physical intimidation.<\/p>\n
They first became active in Portland, Ore., in 2007, and soon that city has become a hotbed for many ANTIFA activities. They threaten and violently assault journalists and others, declare that all police officers should be killed, wear dark clothing and masks, and engage in riot-like demonstrations.<\/p>\n

By: CHARLIE SPIERING<\/strong><\/p>\n President Donald Trump announced on Sunday plans to designate the violent leftist group Antifa as a terrorist organization.<\/p>\n \u201cThe United States of America will be designating ANTIFA as a Terrorist Organization,\u201d Trump wrote on Twitter.<\/p>\n The president commented after consecutive days of heightened rioting in several major cities after a black man George Floyd died after an officer knelt on his neck for several minutes while detaining him.<\/p>\n Attorney General Bill Barr issued a statement after the president\u2019s declaration.<\/p>\n \u201cThe violence instigated and carried out by Antifa and other similar groups in connection with the rioting is domestic terrorism and will be treated accordingly,\u201d he wrote.<\/p>\n Barr also said that 56 regional FBI Joint Terrorism Task Forces would be used to identify \u201ccriminal organizers and instigators\u201d fueling the violence.<\/p>\n Trump blamed the violence on \u201cRadical Left Anarchists\u201d thanking the National Guard for helping quell the riots in Minneapolis.<\/p>\n He urged other cities and states to do the same.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n Read the rest of the article here: Breitbart<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
