  • Chris Matthews: Egypt has the Panama Canal

    I don’t know how they did it, but those engineering wizards in Egypt have somehow moved the Panama Canal to Egypt according to airhead Chris Matthews;

    I just drove over the Panama Canal back in 2009, so Egypt was able to move the whole thing in two years.

    Of course I know he meant the Suez Canal, but since he’s made a career of nitpicking over every Republican misstatement, why should I give him a break?

  • Matthis: This avoiding work thing sure affects my bank account

    Matthis discovers that the “feeding the beast” thing sure does keep him from feeding himself;

    Getting gob smacked by reality is always tough. I guess cutting himself off from the IVAW treasury had a real down side.

  • Prysner: I resolve to be a better commie this year

    I took the day off yesterday, but my ninjas didn’t. They caught Mike Prysner resolving to be a better communist in the New year;

    If you don’t remember Prysner, he’s the co-founder of March Forward, the veteran wing of ANSWER who is ashamed of his service inside the wire in Iraq, yet wears his uniform more than most people on active duty. He tried to stage a coup in IVAW when he and some of his fellow travelers ran for positions on the IVAW’s board last year, mainly because his own membership drives in March Forward have ended up very anemic so he thought he could take over IVAW and turn them towards a more radical agenda.

    The Long March was Mao’s retreat in order to avoid combat with federal Chinese forces in 1934-35. I really don’t see much that Mao did that would inspire me, since he murdered millions of Chinese during his Great Leap Forward. But then, I’m not Mike Prysner.

  • A midweek pick-me-up

    Things that make me happy; Matthis face-down in the snow wearing handcuffs.

    I’ll leave the obvious jokes to you guys.

    Thanks to one my ninjas for the picture. No, I really mean thanks.

  • We Are Not Your Soldiers; teacher reactions

    You remember “We Are Not Your Soldiers”, right? It’s the name of a program sponsored by World Can’t Wait, the far Leftist organization which give voice to morons like Elaine Brower, Robin Long and Matthis in your children’s schools. It’s an attempt to disrupt the military recruitment effort – an effort that has gone on as long as there have been recruiters. Well, here are some teacher reactions to to the one-sided seminar their students got;

    Teacher from Paul Robeson High School [Brooklyn, NY (718) 774-0300] wrote this after having the We Are Not Your Soldiers Tour in her classroom:

    At the time the “We Are Not Your Soldiers” tour visited Paul Robeson high school, my students were preparing to take the New York State Regents exam. Many of my students have failed the exam at least two times. As their last shot before making the decision to drop out or get a GED, I was concerned that failing the regents exam would encourage some my students to join the military instead.

    So now this bubblehead teacher, who hasn’t taught his/her students to the minimum requirements of the State Board of Regents is suddenly worried about their future. Well, as long as that future doesn’t include a stint in the military. And the military doesn’t want morons in their ranks, but the teaching profession doesn’t know that, or they don’t want to know that.

    From Lavie Raven, teacher at Little Village High School [Chicago, IL (773) 535-4200]

    The recruitment of our young people for violent wars that have little meaning and rare efficacy, is a criminal offense itself. World Cant Wait has come and talked to students at the Multicultural Arts School the last three years….

    Three years? Really? Would it be better if the military recruited old people, Lavie? No one is jerking them out of school,or rounding them up in cattle cars and driving them to war…so explain how recruiting is a criminal offense, you dense cow.

    David Strausbaugh, teacher at Worthington Kilbourne High School Columbus, OH [(614) 883-2550]

    “Liz Lazdens and Anthony Wagner, speaking on behalf of World Can’t Wait, recently spoke to classes at our school. They were very organized and informed and the students were engaged in an interactive manner. Anthony’s accounts of his experiences while fighting in Iraq made a particularly strong impression on the students. If teachers are seeking to create discussion about American policy in Iraq and Afghanistan and challenge students to think about how schools should address military recruitment then I would recommend they consider inviting speakers from World Can’t Wait.”

    Young people from end-to-end of this country have improved their lives by spending a few years in the military. Most were affected more profoundly than they were by their idiot teachers who tried to force their inexperienced opinions on their students. When are teachers going to start teaching and stop indoctrinating students?

    How many students have been condemned to a life of ignorance and poverty because of these idiot do-gooders?

  • That which you have wrought

    I’m stumbling around the internet today trying to pack all of this stuff into my crowded mind and I’ve noticed something. No one on the Left is happy about any-damn-thing. Over at Iraq and Afghanistan Veterans of America our old buddy Paul Reickoff is wringing his hands about the lowest pay raise for the troops in 50 years;

    After 10 years in Iraq and Afghanistan, our troops are coming home from war to a difficult economy, staggering foreclosure rates and high unemployment. Now, if Washington gets its way, they’ll also face their lowest pay raise in decades. Nice. So as investment bankers get hefty bonuses on Wall Street, a Marine Corps Sergeant in Fallujah would get a minimal pay increase, or in the worst circumstances, a pay freeze.

    Dicksmith at VetVoice is still complaining that the troops aren’t able to stick whatever they want into whoever they want. And Susan Collins is alternately a hero or an ignorant bitch depending on what her position on DADT is at the time;

    Deals off. Collins says she won’t vote to allow DADT repeal to come to the floor tonight. Uses BS excuse that tax cuts need to be handled first.

    Are there to horny troops waiting for the Senate vote so they can start humping?

    Meanwhile, Robert Reich is over at Huffington Post complaining that the tax deal with Republicans will only solidify in the minds of Americans that big government doesn’t work;

    At least Republicans have a story — the same one they’ve been flogging for thirty years. The bad economy is big government’s fault and the solution is to shrink government.

    Here’s the real story. For three decades, an increasing share of the benefits of economic growth have gone to the top 1 percent. Thirty years ago, the top got 9 percent of total income. Now they take in almost a quarter. Meanwhile, the earnings of the typical worker have barely budged.

    The Washington Post seems concerned that two of the detainees released from Guantanamo in the last few years have returned to a life of terrorism.

    The detainees, who were not named in the unclassified version of a report sent to Congress, were among 66 detainees who were transferred out of the U.S. military detention center at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, since Obama took office in January 2009. An administration official said one and probably both of the confirmed recidivists were Afghans.

    At this point, I’d like to point out to these people that they all spent two years getting this president elected. We tried to warn them that they weren’t getting what they thought. Like the people who thought Obama was going to pay off their mortgages and cars which they couldn’t afford. As I’ve pointed out, Obama spent the last two years being the anti-Bush, seemingly making every decision based on “What Would Bush Do, Then Do The Opposite” and look how it’s all blown up in his (our) face.

    All of you dickweeds who bent over backwards to get this President elected, at least take responsibility for that much. Bitch all you want, but apologize for allowing yourself to be duped. Quitcher damn bitchin’. Especially Reickhoff and Dicksmith – you spent your entire internet careers deceiving veterans. Own up to it and let’s move on.

  • Matthis comforts Ethan

    I just thought this was hilarious that Matthis is telling McCord to ignore us, that we’re harmless.

    “I’m still here”. Barely. You’ve lost all of your friends, everyone thinks you’re a perv and dope addict. Everyone knows you can’t tell the truth, and no one can depend on you. Yeah, you’ve fallen a long way since that little speech in the hall way of the Congressional offices. Heh, IVAW doesn’t even want anything to do with you. Yeah, you did a bang-up job Matthis.

    I think Doc Bailey was warning McCord about leeches like Matthis. He was only trying to help a friend. If McCord can’t see through the intentions of Matthis, he needs more friends.

  • “Veterans” to march against White House for Peace

    A group of anti-war veterans have signed on to march against the White House to demand peace on Thursday, December 16th, probably hoping to avoid counterprotesters who have jobs and can’t show up on a Thursday. They compare themselves to the Bonus Marchers of the last century who marched after World War One for their benefits;

    In the early thirties, WW1 vets descended on Washington, D.C., to demand their promised bonuses, it being the depths of the Depression. General Douglas MacArthur and his sidekick Dwight Eisenhower disregarded President Herbert Hoover’s order and burned their encampment down and drove the vets out of town at bayonet point.

    We are today’s bonus marchers, and we’ve coming to claim our bonus-PEACE.

    Well, here are some of the people who’ve signed on to the above statement and whom we’ve discussed over the past few years.

    Brian Becker, National Coordinator, ANSWER Coalition; as you can imagine, Brian isn’t a veteran, just a Maoist bomb thrower. He runs ANSWER along with his brother also not a veteran.

    Medea Benjamin, Co-Founder, CODEPINK for Peace; yeah, she’s not a veteran either – yet there she is listed with veterans.

    Elaine Brower, Anti-war Military Mom and World Can’t Wait; She’s not a veteran, but her son was deployed to the GWOT three times – voluntarily. She’s fond of calling soldiers “baby killers” and “murderers” but exempts her son from such caricaturization and throws her son’s service in the face of her detractors at every opportunity.

    Scott Camil, Veterans For Peace; Camil was known as Scott the Assassin during the Vietnam War days because it was his idea to assassinate politicians who didn’t oppose that war. He was also one of the Gainesville Eight who plotted to disrupt the 1972 Republican National Convention in Miami by attacking the police, disrupting utilities and firebombing stores. The plot was foiled by the FBI. He was also shot once while trying to sell drugs to the DEA.

    Matthis Chiroux, Iraq War Resister Veteran; What can I say about Matthis you don’t already know. He’s not a veteran of GWOT.

    Bill Perry, Vietnam Veterans Against the War; Bill Perry was one of the original VVAW members who testified at the first Winter Soldier hearings. He admitted to me last year that his testimony at those hearings was “bullshit” to please the hippie chicks and John Kerry.

    Mike Prysner, Co-Founder, March Forward; Mike ran for office in the Party for Socialism and Justice. He ran for the Board of IVAW even though he’d left the organization to form March Forward because IVAW wasn’t radical enough for him.

    Ward Reilly, Veterans For Peace; Ward is a big fake. he walks around in boonie caps and tiger stripe uniforms to give the impression that he’s a Vietnam veteran, but his entire tour in the military was spent in Germany during Vietnam. He wears a Ranger tab on his boonie cap to give the impression that he’s a Ranger even though he’s never been to the school and wouldn’tmake a pimple on a real Ranger’s ass.

    He once questioned me on how I could justify my CIB since I earned it in Desert Storm. He was wearing a Ranger tab at the time. Hypocite.

    Cindy Sheehan, Founder, Peace of the Action; Not a veteran, just an old hag in the final throes of her fame.

    David Swanson, author; Swanson is professional crybaby. He founded AfterDowningStreet which has morphed into an Arrest Bush and Cheney organization. Mostly he whines that the Left isn’t Left enough. He’s not a veteran.

    Debra Sweet, National Director, World Can’t Wait; Sweet is everywhere a lame protest erupts. Lately, she’s taken to following Matthis around NYC-area schools. She’s not a veteran.

    Col. Ann Wright, Veterans For Peace; she famously resigned from the Bush State Department to protest the invasion of Iraq. She’s a liar, when it suits “the cause” and she alternates between Code Pink and Vets For Peace. You can see her service record at the link.

    Doug Zachary, Veterans For Peace; Zachary was booted from the USMC before he could be deployed to Vietnam, but, like Reilly, he plays the part of a Vietnam veteran. Imagine how screwed up you have to be to kicked out of the Marines in 1968. Zachary loots every anti-war cause he can get his grubby paws near.

    There are more signatories, most of whom I don’t recognize by name. I only saw a few IVAW members on the list, but I’m sure they’ll be there.
