  • Adam Kokesh; not feeling the hope

    The other day, in DuPont Circle at the Shoe Bush protest, the day before the Inauguration, I saw Adam Kokesh, poster child for everything that’s wrong with IVAW, threaten that he was throwing a combat boot at the 30-foot blow-up doll of George Bush on that day, but that he was saving the other boot for Obama. The threat to Obama comes at the end of this six minute video;

    Not waiting for Obama to screw up, Kokesh named Obama a potential war criminal on his website;

    But the whole reason I video’d Kokesh was to catch him calling himself “Sergeant Kokesh”. To his credit, he has stopped that. Below is Kokesh’s DD214 which proves what I’ve been saying the last few years; he’s not a sergeant.

    So that puts that issue to rest.

    Along with his DD214, the Records Center sent the evidence against Kokesh that the Marine Corps used to downgrade his discharge at the hearing he was forced to attend when he was trolling the National Mall in his uniform pretending to be on patrol in Iraq (not that he ever went on patrol in Iraq). I found the evidence to be quite satisfying since it was an article in the Washington Post with pictures – the same article I used to prove his guilt.

    I’m guessing the article is included with his records so that if he ever tries to upgrade his discharge, the evidence for the denial still exists.

  • VFP Geezers and Code Pink at the Newseum

    Dave in Texas writes at Ace of Spades that Nancy Pelosi is considering pursuing the Bush Administration after they leave office for imagined war crimes.

    House Speaker Nancy Pelosi on Fox News Sunday says she’s open to the idea of prosecuting Bush administration officials.

    “I think you look at each item and see what is a violation of the law and do we even have a right to ignore it,” the California Democrat said.

    The old coots of Veterans For Peace partnered with the hags of Code Pink yesterday at the Newseum in DC to point their arthritic and unclean fingers at the corporate media for being complicit in the Bush Administration’s imagined crimes. Their spokeman says that the Newseum is the “showpiece of the corporate media” and that’s why they chose it for their theater.

    This is a nine-minute video, you’ll want to scroll through the first 6 minutes to avoid listening to the guy with the horrible Philly accent and get to the part where the protesters begin violating everyone’s right to have a peaceful tour of the museum without screeching harpies mindlessly shrieking empty platitudes.

    So while everyone is looking to the future, Nancy Pelosi and the horse-blindered Left are still steeped in their Bush Derangement Syndrome. Actually, they’re afraid they’re going to lose all of the money they got from the BDS-sufferers to fund their lavish, work-free lifestyles what with The One being in office now. Remember the picture of the Vets For Peace member’s car I took a few months ago at the National Archives;

  • VFP begs for coward

    Remember Robin Long? Back in August he was sentenced by a military court to 15 months in jail for deserting and absconding to Canada. Long was the first deserter to be deported from Canada. In November, after the election, Long wrote a long, windy letter to Barack Obama asking for clemency and to avoid the remainder of his sentence, just like he avoided the service he committed himself to when he joined the Army.

    In his letter to the President-elect, he demonstrated his ignorance of laws, both domestic and international by claiming that the war in Iraq is illegal because we didn’t declare war on Iraq using some nebulous steps required by the Geneva Conventions. Typical shit-house lawyering we hear from the Left all of the time.

    A reader in Nevada sent us this opinion piece in the California-based North Country Times written by VFP member Dave Patterson entitled “Do The Right Thing; pardon vet”;

    I take umbrage at the fact that an absconder, out of cowardice, takes flight in the face of his duties, for which he volunteered, and gets to be called a veteran. There are millions more Americans who completed their terms of service without breaking their promises, laid their lives on the line without running to Canada who are REAL veterans.

    An organization that has the title “Veterans” as the first word should be able to understand that.

    Patterson begins the piece tugging at our parental heart strings;

    As parents, we all hope that our children will do the right thing and follow their conscience when the line between right and wrong invariably becomes blurry. We hope that they will have the courage to step away from the crowd, even if that means being ostracized, denounced or even imprisoned.

    Dave, also as parents, we hope our children “cowboy up” and accept responsibility for their actions and honor the commitments they make to society. Oh, and Long was a man when he decided he’d ignore his obligations, not a child. Although, his actions were those of a child.

    A jury of his peers found him guilty of violating laws, just because you don’t happen to like the law he violated, that doesn’t make the sentence any less valid. If President Obama were to give the pile of weeping dung the clemency he desires, the result would be disasterous for Obama and every president after him. Jimmy Carter was able to turn every American veteran against him the day after his term began with a grudge that lasts until today by giving amnesty to draft dodgers. I would hope that President Obama would have a bit more sense, even though his supporters don’t seem to have any sense.

  • I challenge you to find a bigger DouChe’ than IVAW’s Chris Arendt [TSO]

    I challenge you to find a bigger douche than Christopher Arendt, 1/119th Field Artillery, Charlotte, Michigan. He had already made my radar last week as I read this P.O.S. book, Winter Soldier, when he had this comment about his service at Gitmo:

    I would like to share with you how one goes about becoming a concentration camp guard without ever having made many decisions.

    Here is Specialist Arendt. He looks like one of the Emo kids from South Park. For Chris, the worst form of torture is having to go a week without a duck-taped gerbil being inserted into his anus by his boyfriend. (Unfair Arendt? Completely baseless? You are G.D. right it is, kind of like accusing your fellow troops of being psychotic.)

    So what is torture to him?

    I’ve heard a lot of speculation as to what torture is. I would like to ask everyone to consider whether living in a cell for five years, away from your family and friends, without ever being given answers as to why you’re there, whether this is torture. Having to ask 19 year old boys who don’t have any idea about the politics of their government why they are detained and the answers that we weren’t able to give- I consider that torture.

    The “shaving things into detainees hair” is a new one for him. One has to wonder why a fantastic story like that makes its first appearance in a BBC video and not in his testimony from a year ago. It’s almost as if he forgot it out until now. Or maybe, the harrowing business of running a detention facility caused his mind to block it out. Or maybe, just maybe, the story is sheer bullshit. I’m leaning towards the later of these potential causes of amnesia. According to his testimony in March, the only discussion of shaving heads is this:

    After the detainee is taken forcibly from his cell – that’s probably the first time that he’s left his cell in five, six, seven days – the detainees are beaten, pulled out to the back, shaved, all of their hair, their beard, and then taken to wherever they were supposed to go.

    Wait, so were their patterns shaved into their hair, or was it all shaved off?

    So let’s look at the rest of his testimony. Mind you that Chris was an E4.

    “I served on the blocks for two months as a prison guard. My duties were to feed detainees and dispense toilet paper…A consequence of having detainees is that they are human beings and also have stories. [Ed: No shit?] I talked with them about those stories, which led to my being taken off the blocks. I was sent to work in the Detention Operations Center as the escort control for the last eight months of my tour. I managed the movements of every detainee in Camp Delta. I did this on twelve- to fourteen- hour shifts, and rotated with a very small crew of other specialists.”

    Let me see if I get this straight. With all the officers, interrogators, OGA groups and NCO’s at Gitmo, they entrusted the running of this camp to a 19 year old Specialist who got shit-canned from his job dispensing toilet paper? Is there anyone reading this now that buys into this? Anyone? Is it more likely that Arendt ran Camp Delta, or that a Yeti and Barbra Streisand spawned Amy Winehouse? I would say that each of those stories is equally believable.

    Specialist Chris Arendt, you are the newest member of the Blue Falcons.

    I’ve got some calls into various people who served at Gitmo, including a SGM who may have been there at the same time as Chris. If anyone knows ANYONE in the 1/119th Field Artillery, get them to email us. I want to hammer the BBC on this.

I guess he did such a bang-up job of getting the US troops pulled out of Iraq, he figures he can contribute his considerable weight to the effort to get Israeli troops withdrawn from Gaza. He was so full of himself after participating in this protest, he penned a long letter to the Veterans For Peace National Office to urge them to action against Israel. But those dirty Zionists keep getting in his way;

    Zionist Embeds have totally confused our “low information” VFP members by pointing to MLK & Gandhi, and by saying that the Palestinians should submit to total humiliation and degradation, and be glad that their lives and families are trashed by the Zionists, as they prevent the Gaza export taxes, medications, medical supplies, cooking oil, and food from International sources to get past the Israeli “Check Points”. Then saying VFP should maintain MLK / Gandhi ideals, and DO NOTHING about Israeli bloodthirsty THEFT & MURDER.

    Zionist “sanctions” kill almost as many as their American Missiles, Rockets, and Bombs kill !

    Hell, IMHO, VFP Zionist embeds with tortuous legal arguments are also WAR CRIMINALS. Why are they so powerful, in VFP circles? Do we REALLY need their contributions that bad?

  • MacBeth: Watched beheadings as a child

    Jesse MacBeth’s continuing saga;

    I guess the Tylenol overdose must’ve damaged his brain. He claims that another reason that he’s so screwed up is he was forced to watch beheadings when he lived in the Middle East for seven years. Unfortunately, I can’t find anything that mentions he ever lived in the Middle East and he doesn’t name the country. The only proof he presents is the fact that he was born Jesse Adam Al-Zaid.

    I finally found a copy of the DD214 he used to gain entry into the IVAW and here it is;

    Anyone who spent a minute in the military would spot this DD214 as a phony. “Purple Heart/shot during active service” isn’t the kind of entry you’d expect, is it? If this what fooled the IVAW, I’ve got a bridge in Alaska I’ll have no problem unloading on them.

    I suspect he’s pretty intoxicated by the attention he got on YouTube over the last few days after I discovered his first two videos, so I’m sure he’s going to give us plenty of updates on his upcoming book (he claims he has 50 pages written) in which he plans to name names in IVAW.

    Before you IVAW guys get all excited, at this point, he’s just for entertainment value. If he implicated Obama in the perpetration of his fraud, I wouldn’t publish it, except to point and laugh at him. I’m pretty sure he’d say anything at this point for a bit of fame. But that doesn’t let you IVAW guys off the hook for thinking we’d fall for this Gomer. If that’s the DD214 he “fooled” you with, you’re as guilty as MacBeth.

  • Jesse MacBeth trashes IVAW [Jonn]

    Jesse MacBeth, the poster child of the phony soldier movement, and I find common ground. I’ll admit I know what MacBeth says in this video isn’t completely true, because it’s Jesse MacBeth, for Pete’s sake.

    However, he admits that IVAW had his DD214 and they helped him forge the DD214 he tried to pass off as proof of his combat experience. For those of you who haven’t seen his real DD214, here it is, courtesy of our friends at POW Network;

    I’ve always wondered about the DD214 forgery because MacBeth probably doesn’t have the brains to forge his DD214. But he also calls into question the character of service and the narratives coming from IVAW members.

    He also says “higher ups” helped him perpetrate his fraud on themedia. He doesn’t name the “higher ups”, but at the time he inflicted himself on the stage, that could only mean the Veterans For Peace and VVAW clowns who were running the organization behind the scenes.

    Now, MacBeth also claims that some IVAW members were discussing bombings. I don’t believe that at all – unless he wants to give us names, dates and places of these discussions.

    Like I said, you can’t believe MacBeth completely, he’s an habitual liar. However, he makes some of the same points I have proven on this blog. It’ll probably be quite some time before we get disillusioned IVAW former-members coming out publicly, so this all we’ve got for now.

    He goes on to tell Army Sergeant that he’s got a book deal in the works and that he’s going to spill the beans on IVAW in a big expose`. It reminds me of a nerd slap-fight.
