  • PTSD made me forge my DD214

    An actual Marine Vietnam veteran pleaded guilty to altering his DD214 in Muncy today;

    Frederick Grunsby, 63, of the Muncy area, served two tours of duty in Vietnam, according to court documents and his attorney, George Lepley Jr.

    According to Lepley, his client suffers from and is being treated for post-traumatic stress syndrome related to his war experiences.

    I guess having a Silver Star made the pain go away. I should have known that POW Net had a line on him, too. Cryin’ ass shame.

  • The IVAW Board sheds three directors

    I just got a message from the IVAW that they’ve had three members of the Board resign this week;

    Unfortunately, three directors resigned from the board at separate times and for separate reasons on this day. Those board members are as follows: Matthis Chiroux, Geoff Millard, and Cameron White. None of the Board members that resigned have resigned from IVAW at this point and we look forward to their continued contributions to the organization and the movement.

    For those of you who may not know, Cameron White was in the Marines for four years and had two tours of Iraq. TSO supported him in the Board elections last year.

    An anonymous reader sent this message;

    Matthis didn’t exactly resign of his own accord. It happened after being strongly encouraged to step down by the rest of the board.

    Also, after Millard lost his chair seat, he threw a fit, made empty threats to cut his financial ties to the organization(of which he has none) and then quit the board in a huff.

    You can probably verify these facts through the national office. I hope you can get the word out, because although you may not respect IVAW, it should be noted that malingerers, frauds, and megalomaniacs are finally being weeded out.

    So the Board looks like this now:

    Chair Person; Garett Reppenhagen
    Co-Chair; Joyce Wagner
    Treasurer; Jeremy Berggren
    Secretary; Sara Beining
    Assistant Treasurer; T.J. Buonomo
    Assistant Secretary; Adrienne Kinne

    Garret Reppenhagen is a moderate member, Joyce Wagner came out against Matthis’ flag burning episode, Jeremy Berggren is the guy who claims to suffer from PTSD because he didn’t deploy. TJ is the guy who claims 5 years uf military service, four of which were in the Air Force Academy. Adrienne Kinne and Sara Beining are both Far Left socialist nutballs and Matthis supporters.

  • Connie Pollich; her rack is growing

    Connie Pollich is a state representative in Ohio who spent eight years in the Air Force. It appears that her rack is growing. No, not that rack, get your mind out of the gutter. Her rack of ribbons.

    Here’s what her decorations looked like in an Air Force photo;

    And here’s what she looks like on the campaign trail;

    Apparently, she’s earned 11 more ribbons since the Air Force uniform picture was taken. Here’s what she’s sporting today;

    The only awards that I can identify are the NDSM, the Air Force Longevity Service Award and the Air Force Overseas Long Tour Service Ribbon. Other than that, it’s all a mystery to me. I spent about an hour this morning trying to identify the ribbons – so I’m turning to the experts – my readers.

    There’s more at Free Republic and Doug Ross.

  • VoteVets on Cordoba House

    I hinted in the TAH Facebook Fan page about this the other day. Those peckerwoods at VoteVets have decided that President Obama’s endorsement of the building of the Cordoba House is the greenlight they need to weigh-in on the issue. First Tony Camerino, VoteVets member who blogs at VetsVoice writes in the Huffington Post;

    Imagine an al Qaeda recruiter attempting to sway a potential charge by citing an imaginary American war against Muslims but having to face the counterargument that Americans built a Muslim community center near the site of the former Twin Towers.

    Yeah, that’s just how any al Qaeda recruiter would phrase the situation. Or maybe, more likely, an al Qaeda recruiter would point out to a prospective recruit that they’re winning against the Americans since we acquiesced on this important issue. But this isn’t the first time Camerino has used his former profession as an interrogator to lend credence to the president’s policies using his position at the Soros Foundation.

    Then we have little Jon Soltz, also writing in the Huffington Post about the issue – of course, the Army captain who attacked a young sergeant at the Yearly Kos three years ago pleads with veterans to sign his petition and support the project;

    when we signed up for service, we swore to uphold the Constitution. For all the talk these days from some quarters about the importance of protecting the Constitution and allowing the free market to work unfettered, those same people are fighting against a person’s right to buy property and worship freely. Our duty to protect the Constitution doesn’t end when our service does. It’s up to us to stand up for the right for all Americans to enjoy the Constitutional freedoms that so many around the world don’t have.

    Aside from the fact that the issue isn’t about religious freedom (the Bill of Rights was written to protect citizens from the government…not from each other…so far the government hasn’t interfered, so Soltz should really avoid a career in law), it’s about common decency and mutual respect.

    The letter Jon Soltz wants veterans to sign is addressed to Sharif El-Gamal, the developer of the planned Cordoba House – yes, it’s a letter of support to the intended beneficiaries of the facility. Quoting from Tony Camerino Soltz writes in that letter;

    …allowing the Community Center to move forward will deal a blow to the propaganda of al Qaeda and Islamist extremists….

    Isn’t that logic so naive that you just want to run out and buy Soltz a teddy bear?

    And for an added bonus, Vets Today’s Robert Hanafin urges his robots to sign the VV letter to deal a blow against the Judeo-Christian Crusade;

    And Hanafin hopes that IVAW will take up the mantle of Vote Vets, too, with their “thousands” of members. And all the crazy intersects at Tony Camerino and Jon Soltz. yeah, let me sign that letter and be associated with those clowns.

  • Iowa’s Stolen Valor Act filed

    Two Iowa legislators filed their own Stolen Valor Act when the 9th Circuit appeals court struck down the federal law earlier this month;

    “It’s ridiculous to believe that lying for personal gain is protected by the Constitution. It’s fraud, and fraud is illegal,” said Schultz. “This ruling is an insult to the service and honor of our soldiers.”

    Schultz filed a bill in the House, and Hamerlinck in the Senate, that would restore those protections and make it a crime in Iowa to falsely claim military honors.

    […]

    “Iowans know it’s right to stand up for our soldiers who bravely serve our country, no matter the opposition. We will not allow their service to be trivialized,” said Schultz.

  • Heavy drop phony arrested in AK

    Heavy Drop Phony

    I’m sure you remember William Clark, the plus-sized phony captain who is apparently running around Alaska telling his phony tales. Fairbanks PD has finally issued a warrant for his arrest on gun charges;

    Fairbanks police were called to the North Star Council on Aging Monday afternoon after Clark reportedly showed a pistol to the director of the facility, Julie McCumby, and claimed to be a military police officer.

    McCumby reportedly told police she believed Clark was mentally ill or an escapee from jail and that seniors were being moved out of the building and away from him, according to charging documents.

    When Fairbanks police officer Joshua Lambert contacted him, Clark, a heavyset man with a blond crewcut, was smoking a cigarette while talking on his cell phone.

    He had an empty handgun holster on his belt, and a loaded 9mm pistol was found in Clark’s car. The gun was placed in the trunk for the safety of the officers present but not confiscated.

    After he was issued a citation for trespassing, Clark was released…it was after his release, FPD discovered he had warrants in five states.

    Clark was apprehended late yesterday;

    Shortly after the first story about Clark ran in Friday’s News-Miner, a hunter who believed he talked with Clark on Tuesday notified Fairbanks police.

    The hunter met a man in military fatigues in the Wrangell Mountains who offered to help him go hunting.

    “It just struck him as bizarre,” FPD Sgt. Eric Jewkes.

    The man in fatigues mentioned going to Deadhorse, and North Slope Borough police found Clark at the Prudhoe Bay Hotel on Friday afternoon. He was taken into custody without incident.

    He was just released from prison in recent months. it seems to me that after three trips to prison for the same charge, the fourth arrest ought to give them reason to weld the door shut this time.

    I can’t believe it took this long to arrest Clark, I mean you can see him from space.

  • James Schuder; Serial Phony near Indianapolis

    42-year old James Schuder is pulling off a scam on motorists in Johnson County, Indiana that he has pulled off across the country according to police

    “I gave him $100 and dropped him off and sent him on his way,” Bush said.

    Bush thought he left Schuder at the BP station on State Road 37 in Johnson County so he could pick up a shuttle to the airport. But a week later, his wife noticed him near the same place – getting a ride from another good Samaritan. So she called police.

    “Found out he is not and never has been any kind of military personnel,” Johnson County Chief Deputy Prosecutor Joe Villanueva said.

    Apparently Schuder has been discovered pulling this off in Tennessee, Colorado and New York.

    Thanks to Eric for the link.

  • Shirtless poser seeks undeserved praise (Kyle Barwan).

    Shirtless poser seeks undeserved praise (Kyle Barwan).

    I wanted to post this phony before I closed out because of what he lied and how he did it stand out from your normal faker. Meet Kyle Barwan, (listed at the bottom of the page. )

    He is claiming that he was a ” Ranger, MP, 1st Cavalry, a sniper, a First Lieutenant, and claimed to have served a tour in Iraq.

    Also claimed that he earned a Silver Star by pulling eight guys to safety after a IED blast.

    Also he tries to act like he has been there done that on FaceBook.

    The only real problem is that he he has only been in the National Guard and was kicked out for impersonating a Officer in 2007. Oh and he is claiming that he part of ROTC and recenty went to Camp Atterberry

    Considering he did such a bang up job pretending to be Army Lieutenant do we really want him to be in charge of real troops?

    Added: Also Amy found a MySpace page that has the same info as our friend here.

    UPDATE:

    I found what was posted his Myspace account for the entry Army Sniper. Also he has another one that refers to being in Iraq.

    UPDATE November 24 2010:
    Police in Knox County are holding Kyle Barwan of Crestwood, Illinois on charges of possession of cocaine and impersonating a public servant, and even more charges may be coming.
