    Frank sends a Facebook link from Oklaoosa County, Florida about the three stooges planning a kidnapping;

    Four teens armed with a knife, guns and a roll of tape planned to kidnap and rob members of a Baker family last night, but their plot didn’t go as planned and now all four are in custody. Inside their SUV deputies also found latex gloves, facial masks and dark clothing.

    The Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office responded around 10:30 p.m. to a call of a possible home invasion robbery in progress at a home on Preservation Path.
    The 51-year old homeowner says his 17-year old daughter had called him to tell him that someone had blocked the road to their house with barrels. Instead of getting out of her car she drove around them. A short time later her father heard his dogs barking and saw his front motion-activated flood lights come on. He also heard what sounded like his car door closing and went to get his gun. After spotting some individuals trying to force their way into his garage, he fired three shots and the intruders fled into the woods. He later learned they had unscrewed some of his security lights.

    An alert neighbor who saw a suspicious car near her house around the same timeframe quickly called in a description of the vehicle to deputies, who spotted the 2016 White Jeep Liberty on Highway 4 and made a felony traffic stop.
    Inside the car they found 19-year old Keilon Johnson, 17-year old Austin French, 16-year old Tyree Johnson, and 15-year old Kamauri Horn, all of Crestview.
    The OCSO investigation revealed the teens had concocted a plan to kidnap the teenage daughter. The goal was to first force her out of her car by blocking the road with barrels and garbage cans. (However their intended victim drove around the barrels and kept going.) They then planned to head to her house, confront and subdue her father – who they believed to be wealthy – and rob the home.

    Instead all four defendants are now charged with attempted kidnapping and attempted home invasion robbery. 19-year old Keilon Johnson was booked into the Okaloosa County Jail. The other defendants were transferred to a Department of Juvenile Justice facility.

    Deputies said upon listening to the homeowner’s story of the events and conducting a preliminary assessment of the scene, a search warrant was issued for the home.

    After processing the scene, interviewing witnesses, collecting evidence, and conferring with the DA, a warrant for murder was issued for Taylor. He’s currently being held without bond.

    From Miami, Florida;

    The co-owner of a Miami barbershop was forced to shoot a man inside his business Thursday morning because he had been stabbed in the stomach by an intruder and was defending himself, according to his daughter.

    She told CBS4’s Peter D’Oench, “His attacker got shot when he stabbed my dad. My dad defended himself by shooting him. I am pretty stunned and pretty upset. But I hope for the best for my dad.”

    Both men were transported to Jackson Memorial Hospital in serious condition.

    Police later confirmed that the alleged attacker was pronounced deceased by hospital staff.

    The 16-year-old, Quantez Jones (pictured left), has been charged with first-degree murder and aggravated discharge of a firearm, Belleville Police Capt. Matt Eiskant and St. Clair County State’s Attorney Brendan Kelly announced at a news conference Friday.

    Deveon Hunt (pictured right) was shot and killed a little after 10 p.m. Sunday evening in an alley behind West Main Street in Belleville. Police were nearby when the shots rang out. As a result, they responded quickly to multiple 911 calls of gunfire in the area, reported Belleville News-Democrat. Consequently, they arrived on scene within a minute, Eiskant said earlier this week.

    Eiskant said the suspect and Hunt were friends, and were walking in the alley behind the 7600 block of West Main after 10 p.m. Sunday. However, the two decided to fire upon a home there, he said.

    The teens were “staggered in their stances,” Eiskant said; with Hunt somewhat in front of the suspect.

    “And the suspect, Quantez Jones, struck the victim, Deveon Hunt, with a round of ammunition resulting in his death,” Eiskant said.

    Sunday morning feel good stories

    From Omaha, Nebraska;

    Camille Clark stepped outside her home to take out recyclables when she noticed something off in the driveway.

    “There was a bicycle parked between our vehicles that didn’t belong there,” said Camille’s husband, Michael Clark.

    Clark said his wife then noticed Dube rummaging through the classic cars in their garage. Police said Dube pulled a gun on her. She then ran inside to tell her husband.

    “I slammed on my clothes, grabbed my gun, came upstairs (and) went outside,” Michael Clark said. “At that point in time, (Dube) was already taking off down the block so I hopped in my car and I started chasing him down.”

    Clark got dressed so quickly, he said he put on his 12-year-old child’s shoe, didn’t have a cellphone and forgot to put his glasses on. Clark chased Dube, who was on a bike, down the street until he eventually stopped.

    When Clark got out of his car to try to catch Dube, he said the 41-year-old shot at him.

    “He shot a couple rounds at me and that’s when I got back into my car because I couldn’t see him,” Clark said. “It was at that point that I realized, ‘Hey, I don’t have the right shoes on. I don’t have my phone. I don’t have my glasses. I can barely see this guy.’ The only shot I could’ve taken was, it was bad. It was just an ineligible shot.”

    Clark said he wanted to stop Dube until police arrived. With poor vision and the fear of accidentally shooting at a neighbor’s house, he didn’t use his weapon and shined his car lights at Dube to try and blind him.

    That’s when David Kilpatrick noticed something going on in his driveway.

    “I seen some lights come in the driveway, so I got up and went to the door,” said Kilpatrick. “When I got to the door there was somebody out here in the driveway messing around, so I just opened up the door and come on out here.”

    Kilpatrick said he didn’t think twice and a tussle quickly started between him and Dube.

    “I was kind of livid and he acted like he was getting kind of goofy on me and I just body-slammed him up against the van,” Dube said.

    Kilpatrick said Dube knocked him to the ground before running off. Dube tried to jump a fence, but was unsuccessful and ran off on foot.

    Clark, who was still in his car at that point, followed Dube. He said as the 41-year-old ran, he started dropping some of the items he stole.

    “It looked like Santa Claus got a hole in his bag, there’s just stuff falling all over the place,” Clark said.

    Clark continued to follow Dube until Omaha police arrived and took the 41-year-old into custody in someone’s backyard. OPD said Dube already had a felony warrant and three misdemeanor warrants out for his arrest.

    Dube now faces a number of additional charges after Friday’s arrest, including theft from a motor vehicle, terroristic threats, burglary, attempted felony assault, obstructing a peace officer, felon in possession of a firearm and prescription drug requirements.

    According to OPD, officers located a small, black and silver handgun at the scene. They also found 9mm rounds in Dube’s pockets and some pills identified as Seroquel, which is a prescription anti-psychotic medication. He was also carrying items that police said belonged to Clark.

    OPD said Dube gave officers a false name and refused to cooperate with detectives.

    They are all charged with nighttime burglary, conspiracy and breaking and entering, according to court records.

    Police said the robbery victim was shot in the shoulder and returned fire, hitting one suspect in the leg and the other in the stomach.

    All three men were taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, Lt. Ken Lammert said at the scene.

    The robbery victim was first in line to buy something at the gas station, which serves customers through a window, when another man walked up behind him and took a gun the victim had in a pants pocket, Lammert said.

    The victim has a concealed-carry permit, he said. The gun was in a front pants pocket but visible to the alleged robber.

    The robber started to back away to a car with an accomplice, when the victim pulled a second gun on him, Lammert said. The suspect shot the victim with the gun he had taken and the victim returned fire, hitting both the robber and his accomplice.
