  • Army Experience Center protest

    Even though I was at the protest on Saturday, one of our operatives was at the Franklin Mills Mall near Philadelphia keeping an eye on the moonbats for us. According to their announcement, 32 groups were supposed to decend on the Army Experience Center, a recruiting station in the mall. You can tell that apparently every other person had his own organization – there were 100-150 people there by my estimation from the pictures and videos I’ve found. Here’s the one video on YouTube about it so far, you can do your own counting if you want;

    Our operative, MayDayOG, sends these pictures and files in his report that, even though initially the hippies had planned to infiltrate the mall in small groups and appear suddenly at the AEC, instead they assembled near the mall and were escorted by mall security to the AEC.

    Hmmm, someone must’ve tipped the mall to their plot. I wonder who.

  • Barbecue and Patriotism at Walter Reed

    Tea Party WRAMC 020

    Just got back from a day at Walter Reed and thought I’d share some of it with you.

    First, we ate courtesy of the organizational skills of Concretebob and his crew;

    DC Tea Party WRAMC 002

    Tea Party WRAMC 001

    Tea Party WRAMC 007

    Tea Party WRAMC 005

    Then it was off to the front gate where the action was, courtesy of the DC Chapter of Free Republic who has standing at Walter Reed to welcome the wounded soldiers home for 230 consecutive weekends, rain, shine, heat and cold. They were gratified with the huge turn out tonight;

    Tea Party WRAMC 045

    Tea Party WRAMC 041

    Tea Party WRAMC 038

    Tea Party WRAMC 027

    Of course the other side was there, too, in pitiful numbers;

    Tea Party WRAMC 029

    There were a pair of matching trucks with a huge sign in the bed that we all signed;

    Tea Party WRAMC 010

    Tea Party WRAMC 009

    Did I mention that at This Ain’t Hell we love dogs?

    Tea Party WRAMC 036

    If the turn out tonight is any indication of what tomorrow is going to be like, the news media is going to be real sorry that they didn’t cover it. This was the largest crowd I’ve ever seen at Walter Reed on Friday night – and I left when I was losing light and folks were still arriving.

    Video Added;

    There are more pictures, as always, at my Flickr Photostream.

    1stCavRVN11B sends a link to the live streaming photos from Walter Reed.

  • At Walter Reed tomorrow night

    Our buddy DanNY from GOE/NY sent along this humorous bit from some clowns who think they have the organizational skills of GOE;

    teabagger-watch

    The folks at Free Republic have been manning the four corners outside of Walter Reed since March, 2005 – here’s the post I did of their three year anniversary last year. It’s not like everyone just decided to finally show up this Friday night. They’ve never been involved in “severe intimidation” of the assembled moonbats halfway down the block from the Main Gate.

    Well, there was the one time that Concretebob got the permit for occupation of all four corners when he found out that the Code Pink permit didn’t exist. That’s why they’re halfway down the block. So anyway, if you’re in town Friday night, stop by WRAMC and join us.

    I hear Tankerbabe will be there.

    Don’t forget the barbecue at the Mologne House. More from FReeper buddy, trooprally;

    GoE has a duplicate permit for the moonbats area.

    The DC Chapter has also extended our permits to cover all of the street in front of Walter Reed, except the small area where the moonbats are.

    We start at 6PM. A moment of silence will be held at 8:46PM, 8 yrs and 12 hours after the 1st trade tower was struck.

    RE signs, we will have a lot from GoE I and some made up, but if the numbers are going to be as many as expected, feel free to bring your own.

    Moonbats may try to infiltrate our group with obambi-hilter and hanging obambi posters. If you see any, please immediately remove them.

  • Josh Simpson: Live up to the creed, socialismo o muerte!

    The folks at 9/11 Families for America sent a link to an interview of Benji Lewis and Josh Simpson (who I wrote about the other day) conducted by Eva Golinger, a Venezuelan-American lawyer who was nicknamed the “Sweetheart of the Revolution” by Hugo Chavez for her blind and undying support for the Chavezistas. Of course, she supports Chavez’ revolution from the comfort and splendor of her Manhattan apartment and law offices.

    Anyway, Golinger, who also writes for the uber-Left, pro-Chavez website Venezuelanalysis, doesn’t bother to check the background of her interviewees. This is from the bio at the end of the interview;

    Josh Simpson, 27 years old, was a Sargeant [sic] in the US Army Counterintelligence Division. He was in charge of interrogations and source operations in Mosul, Iraq from 2004-2005. His actions resulted indirectly in the deaths of hundreds of Iraquis [sic].

  • IVAW’s Josh Simpson can’t keep his story straight

    Just cruising through my feeds this afternoon, I came across this YouTube video from Venezuelan Television. It’s an interview with IVAW’s Josh Simpson who tells harrowing stories of interrogations while he was a US Army interrogator.

    Keep in mind that this the first of a series of four interviews by VZTV, the government-owned Telesur, attempting to warn Venezuelans that Americans and Colombians are intent on invading Venezuela – I guess because we don’t have enough poor people, so we have to enslave some more. Ed. Note: Although the program portion of this interview is in Spanish, Josh’s answers are in English;

    So I did a little research on Joshua and found that he’d claimed to be an interrogator a few times in the media – like this interview from Dahr Jamail last year;

  • Stupid hippies

    The following is from a Leftist blog that claims to care about the US troops. The article is from the World Socialist Website. I don’t know where he got the picture of “US troops fighting in Afghanistan”, but he seriously needs an editor to check behind him;

    us-troops-ha

    Those don’t look like M4s to me.

  • For God, Country, Sugar and Bananas!

    I’m constantly amazed at what passes for rational discourse on the internet these days. Never so much as when I visit the websites of the pseudo-intellectual veterans of the Left. The worst, of course, is that Jim Staro guy who we’ve featured before. His incoherence is a monument to his ignorance. But running a close second, is Gordon Duff of a completely directionless blog named “Veterans Today”. His only goal seems to be a frantic and constant whining about the Veterans Affairs Department for no good reason other than it’s not Heaven on Earth.

    Today, he zeroes in like grapeshot on US foreign policy by proclaiming “War is Unpatriotic“. He begins by declaring acts unpatriotic before we actually became a country.

    We started stealing in the 1600s, long before we were a country. Indians fed us, taught us and we sent troops into their villages and murdered them.

    I’m pretty sure that before you can commit an unpatriotic act, you have to have a “patria“, a country – it’s kinda part of the word isn’t it? But, hey, what do I know? And what troops did “we” send into Indian villages?

    Duff goes on to explain that those stupid founders tossed aside that great and wonderful Articles of Confederation document in favor of that corrupt and unworkable Constitution “to make sure “regular folks” would stay broke and hungry and end up fighting war after war started by speculators and profiteers.”. The guy is brilliant. But his true brilliance comes through in the next paragraph;

    Long before we went to war for oil, we invaded countries for sugar and bananas.

    Yeah, mostly because our Navy loved jumping into their rickety, leaky, wooden boats which required constant maintenance every minute to stay afloat, so they could travel for weeks to a mosquito-infested coast, fight disease and blood thirsty savages in hand-to-hand combat risking death at every breath so they could bring back some bananas and sugar for their cornflakes.

    Dipshit.

    His whole point is supposed to be that we’re wasting lives over a shit hole like Afghanistan. But mainly because we all love war and our soldiers are too stupid to refuse to fight them for us.

    Nobody can explain it. Nobody can justify it. Nobody even wants it but we keep on and on as though some invisible force drove us insane. Our actions are nothing but insane. We all agree on this and are powerless to stop ourselves. If our nation was a person, we would have to be committed to an asylum for the criminally insane.

    His aforementioned tenuous grasp of history (and reality, apparently) explains his self-induced ignorance.

    Our new friends at The Burn Pit take on Duff in another bit of ignorance theater in which Duff accuses the VSOs of “Sleeping With the Enemy”. Personally, I think Duff has been sleeping with the gas on.

  • George Will is wrong, wrong, wrong

    Last night, I wrote briefly about the impending George Will column in the Washington Post in which Will says we should withdraw from Afghanistan. I have nothing against George Will – in fact he and I had a nice short chat one night at the National Press Club several years back and I found him to be an affable and brilliant fellow. But, this is way out of his lane, as Uncle Jimbo wrote last night.

    Will wrote;

    So, instead, forces should be substantially reduced to serve a comprehensively revised policy: America should do only what can be done from offshore, using intelligence, drones, cruise missiles, airstrikes and small, potent Special Forces units, concentrating on the porous 1,500-mile border with Pakistan, a nation that actually matters.

    Oh, Pakistan matters because it has nukes? How very Cold Warrior of you, George. Afghanistan sure mattered in September 2001, didn’t it?

    That’s typical inside-the-Beltway drivel. The best way to get some political cover is to send in some SpecOps guys occasionally to score cheap and meaningless victories against a burgeoning threat just to get the ruling party through the next election. It’s reminiscent of the Clinton aspirin factory/Bedouin tent attacks of the late 90s. Big flashy explosions that shifted little mounds of sand around the desert.

    We’re dealing with an enemy that declares a victory every time one of them successfully farts without getting a Hellfire shot up his bum. Our withdrawal from Somalia is what precipitated this war on terror – pulling our forces “off-shore” (anyone who saw a shore in Afghanistan, please tell us about it) will only embolden those stone age cretins and encourage even more attacks against our interests.

    How many times during the Bush years did we suffer the slings and arrows from the Left about how we didn’t fix Afghanistan in 1988 – now twenty years later, they’re ready to follow the same strategy. And George Will is giving them the political cover to set us up for the next attack as well as rebuild support with Democrats’ far Left constituents just as they are beginning to oppose Obama. Good one, George.
