  • IAVA’s Paul Rieckhoff: This Senate sucks a lot

    Remember all of the shit we went through with IAVA’s scorecard the last two election cycles (2008 and 2010 and interim the 2009 post about “nonpartisan IAVA“)? Well, Executive Director Paul Rieckhoff writes in the Huffington Post today;

    So how much does this Senate suck?

    A lot.

    This has definitely been a year of incredible frustration and stagnation in Washington. Without a doubt, it’s the worst I’ve seen it in my short time working as an advocate on Capitol Hill. But in the last week, the inaction and incompetence in Congress was taken to a whole new level. This Senate is so backwards, so ineffective, so lacking in leadership, it’s almost hard to put it into words. Unless you use a term that comes from the military: FUBAR.

    Hey, um, fuckstick, you helped put them there. All of that bullshit “nonpartisanship”, stacked and manipulated vote rating got you the current cluster of mental midgets in Congress. And it’s only going to get worse, Paul. The Blue Dog Democrats have been replaced by hardcore Republicans – and the morons like Jim McDermott and Nancy Pelosi who you gave high ratings are only going to get more hardheaded. Yeah, I know they’re not in the Senate, but you get the gist, right?

    That’s why when you sent me a personal invitation to your latest IAVA social circle jerk, I didn’t even bother to answer. You might want to reach out, but I’d rather cut your stupid dick off. I hope you enjoy your cows coming home to roost or some other stupid mixed metaphor. Dick.

  • VFP withholds chump change from Amazon, Ebay and PayPal

    Those billionaire hippie dregs over at Geezers For Sitting On Our Hands released a statement last week announcing that they were boycotting Amazon, Ebay and PayPal because those entities were shutting down their connections to Wikileaks;

    Yesterday, the Executive Committee of Veterans For Peace voted to break all commercial ties with the Amazon Corporation and call for our members to boycott eBay Corp. and PayPal Corp. This includes, but is not limited to,

    * Removing the Amazon link from the VFP website. Previously we had encouraged our members to use this link when making purchases from Amazon Corp., as a fundraising method for our organization.
    * Urging our members, supporters and the public to boycott Amazon, eBay and PayPal corporations.
    * Urging Julian Assange and the Wikileaks team to continue their fight in the most important area of free speech: government secrets.

    I have to chuckle at the thought that the hippies at VFP think that the pennies they spend at those companies will have any real effect. Hippies don’t have any money, they’re still wearing the same clothes they wore in the sixties. The rumor is that Bill perry and War Reilly share their underwear.

    In the meantime, This Ain’t Hell fully supports Amazon and PayPal and will continue to have our links running to those folks.

    The statement from VFP continues to complain that the Justice Department is planning on using the Espionage Act against Assange. In fact, they complain that the Wilson Administration used the Espionage Act to silence Eugene V Debs. it must not have worked too well because Debs, the communist provocateur, ran for president of the United States in 1920 while he was in prison for violations of the Espionage Act. By the way, the violations, 10 counts, were related to his urgings of resistance to the draft during WWI.

    The VFP statement ends thusly;

    VFP gave imprisoned Army PFC, Bradley Manning, its Courage of Conscience award earlier this year for releasing documents detailing U.S. war crimes in Iraq and Afghanistan. Resistance to the attack on WikiLeaks and Assange is also growing and VFP considers it important to do what we can to join that resistance.

    Bradley Manning was mad because his boyfriend broke up with him. That’s real courage. I’m glad that VFP pines with Manning in his unrequited amorous affairs. I hear he’s missing a Lady Gaga CD, maybe VFP can dig deep and buy him a new one…but not from Amazon.

  • We Are Not Your Soldiers; teacher reactions

    You remember “We Are Not Your Soldiers”, right? It’s the name of a program sponsored by World Can’t Wait, the far Leftist organization which give voice to morons like Elaine Brower, Robin Long and Matthis in your children’s schools. It’s an attempt to disrupt the military recruitment effort – an effort that has gone on as long as there have been recruiters. Well, here are some teacher reactions to to the one-sided seminar their students got;

    Teacher from Paul Robeson High School [Brooklyn, NY (718) 774-0300] wrote this after having the We Are Not Your Soldiers Tour in her classroom:

    At the time the “We Are Not Your Soldiers” tour visited Paul Robeson high school, my students were preparing to take the New York State Regents exam. Many of my students have failed the exam at least two times. As their last shot before making the decision to drop out or get a GED, I was concerned that failing the regents exam would encourage some my students to join the military instead.

    So now this bubblehead teacher, who hasn’t taught his/her students to the minimum requirements of the State Board of Regents is suddenly worried about their future. Well, as long as that future doesn’t include a stint in the military. And the military doesn’t want morons in their ranks, but the teaching profession doesn’t know that, or they don’t want to know that.

    From Lavie Raven, teacher at Little Village High School [Chicago, IL (773) 535-4200]

    The recruitment of our young people for violent wars that have little meaning and rare efficacy, is a criminal offense itself. World Cant Wait has come and talked to students at the Multicultural Arts School the last three years….

    Three years? Really? Would it be better if the military recruited old people, Lavie? No one is jerking them out of school,or rounding them up in cattle cars and driving them to war…so explain how recruiting is a criminal offense, you dense cow.

    David Strausbaugh, teacher at Worthington Kilbourne High School Columbus, OH [(614) 883-2550]

    “Liz Lazdens and Anthony Wagner, speaking on behalf of World Can’t Wait, recently spoke to classes at our school. They were very organized and informed and the students were engaged in an interactive manner. Anthony’s accounts of his experiences while fighting in Iraq made a particularly strong impression on the students. If teachers are seeking to create discussion about American policy in Iraq and Afghanistan and challenge students to think about how schools should address military recruitment then I would recommend they consider inviting speakers from World Can’t Wait.”

    Young people from end-to-end of this country have improved their lives by spending a few years in the military. Most were affected more profoundly than they were by their idiot teachers who tried to force their inexperienced opinions on their students. When are teachers going to start teaching and stop indoctrinating students?

    How many students have been condemned to a life of ignorance and poverty because of these idiot do-gooders?

  • Matthis comforts Ethan

    I just thought this was hilarious that Matthis is telling McCord to ignore us, that we’re harmless.

    “I’m still here”. Barely. You’ve lost all of your friends, everyone thinks you’re a perv and dope addict. Everyone knows you can’t tell the truth, and no one can depend on you. Yeah, you’ve fallen a long way since that little speech in the hall way of the Congressional offices. Heh, IVAW doesn’t even want anything to do with you. Yeah, you did a bang-up job Matthis.

    I think Doc Bailey was warning McCord about leeches like Matthis. He was only trying to help a friend. If McCord can’t see through the intentions of Matthis, he needs more friends.

  • Berkeley to honor spying traitor

    Of course, I really didn’t have to name the city council location did I?

    The council is expected to vote Tuesday on the resolution in support of Pfc. Bradley Manning, who is being held in a military brig. The resolution already has been approved by the city’s Peace and Justice Commission.

    Bob Meola, the peace and justice commissioner who wrote the resolution, said Manning is a patriot and should get a medal.

    They voted to boot Marine recruiters and to give Bradley Manning a medal. Isn’t there a flush handle on that place yet?

    Thanks to Tman for the link.

  • The McCord crowd caught us

    Oh, noes, someone actually reads TAH and caught us reading Ethan McCord’s Facebook screen shots.

    The ONLY reason I posted those comments yesterday was to demonstrate what a lying POS Ward Reilly is…if Ethan and his pals still want to associate themselves with Mr. Tiger Stripes and his phony Ranger Tab, then I guess they care more about what he says than they are with what he is. The same reason they crowd around Matthis. I see Matthis’ fiance` in the latest discussion so I guess that’s at least partially true.

    It’s kind of hypocritical of McCord to reprint a personal email from a friend and then complain because I published his Facebook conversation, isn’t it? Ooops, I almost forgot to mention IVAW so this post shows up in their paranoia feeds.

  • Ward Reilly is still a lying POS

    Someone sent me some screen shots from a discussion Ethan McCord had on Facebook over an email he got from one of the guys he served with in Iraq during the “Collateral Murder” incident.

    Yeah, it goes on like that “Ethan, you’re so brave”, “Ethan you’re so smart”, “Ethan, everyone who doesn’t think like you are idiots”. Typical kneejerk bullshit. While they complain they can’t have their own opinions in public, they deny everyone else’s right to think they’re wrong. Blah, blah, blah, who cares.

    But, as in everything anti-war, Ward Reilly shows up in the discussion like Herbert the Pervert. I really don’t know what his interest could be in hanging out on Facebook with people half his age (Ward and I are almost the same age).

    Yeah, veterans in the anti-war movement are so truthful. Like Ward wearing a Ranger tab he didn’t earn;

    White House Protest 10-5-2009 (73)a

    And claiming he’s a Ranger because his company, a leg infantry company in Germany, called themselves Rangers;

    If you read that last paragragh of the last post Ward made, you’d think he’s a Vietnam veteran, but he spent the last few months of the Vietnam War in Germany. He enlisted in October 1971 and combat forces were withdrawn from Vietnam a few months later.

    Reilly “resisted” in May and June of 1973 when he went AWOL for 30 days while stationed in Bavaria ten months after combat forces left Vietnam – not in 1972 like he wrote. You can see the actual dates of his AWOL on his Form 2-1. He was barely in desertion status – he was AWOL from May 2 – June 2 and he was returned to duty on June 15th, so he was a deserter for a whopping 13 days. By the way, his AWOL episode came five months after the Paris Peace Accords were signed, so what exactly was he resisting?

    He continues that the infantry made him a hippie. The infantry would have made him a man if he’d paid the least bit of attention.

  • How hungry do you have to be to pay to eat a meal with Michael Moore?

    Ya know there are hundreds of ways to give money that would help the troops, whether you want to help them live in a house made to the specifications which allow them to live a normal life in their own home, or buy laptops that keep them connected to the world despite their injuries. Now, how much money would you figure that Michael Moore spends on Ho-Hos in a week? Which organization would you figure is the last organization on Earth you’d give money if you really wanted to help injured troops?

    I’ll give you a clue – it’s an organization that is light on Iraq veterans, but the first two words in it’s name is Iraq Veterans. But guess which organization reaps the benefit of a raffled meal with Michael Moore;

    Would you like to have dinner with me? It would be just us — and up to three of your friends, if you want — and we can talk about anything…movies, politics, or whether LeBron, Bosh and Wade are going to live up to the hype. (I’m betting yes.)

    If you’re interested, just go here and make a bid. The money from the winner will go to Operation Recovery, a project of Iraq Veterans Against the War.

    I’m participating in this auction because the IVAW is, quite simply, one of the most important organizations in our country.

    Of course, we don’t expect Michael Moore to give his own money to any organization that benefits the troops, Hollywood just doesn’t work like that. But of all of the organizations that actually benefit troops, Moore picks the least likely to do anything for anybody except them-stupid-selves.

    IVAW also participates in the nationwide Truth in Recruiting campaign, so that young people can make informed decisions about joining the military. And they organized the 2008 Winter Soldier conference, at which veterans of Iraq and Afghanistan told the unvarnished truth about what we’re doing in our wars — and what our wars are doing to our vets.

    We all owe every member of IVAW a debt of thanks. And there’s no better way to help pay that debt than to support Operation Recovery, which is a new campaign to stop the military from sending already-traumatized veterans back into combat zones.

    They’d benefit the country more if IVAW had a “Truth in Michael Moore’s documentaries” campaign so that people can make informed decisions about entering theaters. Of course, as TSO and I proved when we attended the 2008 Winter Soldier hearings, IVAW would have trouble recognizing much truth in…well, anything.

    Some dimwit has bid the meal up to $7250 (the next bid will be $7750) at this writing. It’s gone up a bid in the half hour it took me to write this.

    I had a few jokes to toss in this about the fear of sitting at a dining table with Michael Moore and the potential for choosing fork stabbings or starvation, but I’ll leave those for you guys. The jokes almost write themselves.
