  • Worth bringing up over 30 years later.

With all this flag burning going on within the IVAW I thought that this was worth posting about. Also since that for a good number of people to include myself that this is the first time to read about it,

Rick Monday saves the US Flag.

I mean it is interesting story to read and watch. This was just after the Vietnam War and despite that the reaction of the people in the stands is very encouraging. Also the Patriot Guards caught up with Rick Monday who still has that flag.

  • Mike Prysner revisited.

One story about him got a ping back that led to this post titled
Powerful and Amazing speech by an Ex war veteran
and the replies got interesting quick.

show us this research(that he is lying) then. if he was a soldier he would have had to do those things, every soldier have to follow orders.

what has he got to gain? and i must say he is very brave speaking out about the government like that, hes putting his life at risk to tell the truth

And what i mean by hes putting his life at risk because you will find that any one who speaks out against government and tries to fight them, they find a way of shutting there mouths, they mysteriously disappear for years and years because they throw them in some secret prision where they torture them to death to keep them from opening there mouths as not to make sure nothing more wont slip out.

all you have to do is look back on all the history of america and all the mysterious assassinations.

america zionists are running this world its time you woke up and realised that.

Yea that is why he is out in public every chance he gets. Also when our site was posted as a link for reference it was answered with this quote.

(name) your very naive indeed. this is just another plot to get rid of him and prevent people from believing that america are a bunch of terrorists.

its funny that you mentioned x flies too because this is another example of how zionist hollywood brainwash people in to thinking aliens exist so that one day they may attack on this whole planet for there new world order !!! and the people will foolishly believe its aliens haha

Oh and lets not forget the reference to Dahr Jamails

Dahr Jamails comprehensive study of todays military resisters sheds new light on the contours of dissent within the ranks of the worlds most powerful military, documenting the fight for justice inside the belly of the beast.

  • What’s in a name (or a report)

Well one of the newest thing going around thanks to the group Rethink Afghanistan. The report is this one by a independent group titled The Effect of Civilian Casualties in Afghanistan and Iraq. So of course Rethink Afghanistan jumps all over it with this follow up story.

Yea like we are not trying to do this already.

Also the photo is worth a look.

A few things come to mind. The first is a absolute desire from the person taking the photo to cause the viewer to become distanced from the Solider. Following that it is trying to do the opposite with the children in the photo. Lastly, does it not look like there is a cap on that M16?

It is just frustrating I mean that people do not see things like this. I mean how would it change the story if they used a photo like this instead?

Oh if that was not enough, Russia media is now claiming that the US military sent “Hardcore Neo-Nazi’s” to Iraq and Afghanistan.

  • These people are in need of a intervention.

My first reaction to this video is to lay off the drugs. Not because they disagree with my views on Afghanistan but some other things that i am willing to bet that people would not say off camera.

    What are you doing?

We are making cell phone pouches for other youth in Kandahar.

Why are you making these for them?

    As gifts.

    What’s your purpose in this?

    Peace. Our purpose is peace.

You really think that the population of Afghanistan is going to let their kids have cell phones? Also these things look like cheap knock offs that are at every store that nobody buys.

What is the principle of your work?

    Love.

OK I am raising the BS flag on this because as far as work there are many words that come up in regards to work and I promise that love is not one of them. Also it feels like they are trying to be obscure about every subject answer with something very general like “love”. It is not just this video but every video that have made.

This over generalization is bad, I mean it could make a Halmark card writer blush with embarrassment. So there is no other choice but a force intervention for these people. Also a possible rehab program.

  • Better late then never.

Every once and a while I look up Fort Benning to see if anything comes up. Well today I found this.

Richard Dion can tell the story of his service in Vietnam with a few specific numbers. There’s the number of times he was shot during his service: three. The number of years he served: three. He can finally put a number on another chapter of his story after an awards ceremony at the Paramus Memorial Veterans Home Monday. It’s the number of years it took to receive the medals he earned for his sacrifice: 43.

I figured that we have been talking about losers and scumbags that we change subject.

“It’s an honor,” said Dion, 66, who served in Vietnam from 1965 to 1967, including at the Ia Drang Valley battle, and lives at the Veterans Home. “It’s a long time coming, for one. I’m just proud to be able to have served and earned them.”

Dion received five medals in a ceremony his family said was overlooked when he returned home from the war. Each medal was pinned on his chest by Rep. Scott Garrett, R-Wantage, who traveled from Washington, D.C. for the occasion. At the end, his 95-year old mother, members of his extended family and a crowd of residents and local veterans’ representatives shouted the word that, in the Army, covers everything from ‘Congratulations,’ to ‘Yessir,’ to ‘I’m at a loss for words:’ “Hooah!” they said.

It is nice to see stuff like this get fixed. Seemed that this is more common then one would think. But it is not just about the awards, pins and medals. These are the things that represent the things the each person faced in war.

… her father struggled with nightmares and asked his wife to help remove the shrapnel that periodically surfaced from a wound in his neck…

It is something that fakes and phonies will never get. So going out with with a fitting quote I will have to go with this one.

“This was not the reception he got when he came home, she said. “This was our time to do it right.”

  • History repeating itself.

So, once again the group “Rethink Afghanistan” is doing it best to display that nothing has gone right in Afghanistan since 2001 has put out a video showing the comments from the General McCrystal’s aides.

Some of the better quotes so far.

The problem is it is an unjust war.Taliban stopped poppy growth. NATO protects the poppy.Bush never proved Bin Laden guilty. Taliban asked for proof he did 911. Democracy demands proof of a crime. The war is plain terrorism.

Or this one that suggested that the General was thinking about killing the President.

I actually read the Rolling Stones story today, do you know when McCrystal was at West Point and wrote for the newspaper there he wrote a fictional story on assassinating a US President in the Oval office. Now, tell me how the Obama Administration missed that one. Let’s not forget the Pat Tillman (hero) mess where the General wrote that … See MoreTillman died at the hands of the Taliban when it was friendly fire that killed him. Oh, and talk about torturing prisoners in Iraqi. He would actually visit the prisons and oversaw the illegal acts against war prisoners. Yes, he is an effective military first strike man who knows how to kill better than any of the rest, but he needed to go. You don’t out TOP SECRETS just to embarrass the President’s Administration. GET OUT of all wars in other countries unless we are attacked or an attack is being planned on the US and its interest.

But for the most part it can be summed up in this cartoon.

  • I love going over to POW. Network.

I mean it is even better then reading the funnies. I would like you to met a Bounds Kylen Rowe

He thought of it would be a good idea to try to get into Naval Station Everett with a ACU uniform, except that he forgot one minor thing. He came to the gate without a military ID. He also had a Felony Record too book. This one is so new that there is nothing out on the internet on him and POW.Net has him listed as being booked on the 21st of June. Perhaps someone else will have better luck finding out more on our newest fake.

    ADDED:
Also notice the direction that his flag is facing. For those that do not know the blue part is facing forward to give the impression that the flag is flying in the wind. His is the exact opposite, a major indication that something is not normal.

  • Nine month deployments?

Some of you may have seen that story in the Army Times about a planned reduction from twelve to nine and have at least two years dwell time. The proposed plan would go into effect in two years.

“We know 12 months is too long to sustain repeatedly, and we know that six months is too short for the operational environment,” he said, adding “so once we get demand down to about 10 brigade combat teams, we’re looking to revert to nine-month deployments,” Casey said.

I wonder is this possible with the fact the it took a extension of three months to have the number of troops needed for Iraq. Even with the draw down in Iraq, would we be able to maintain a nine month deployment cycle for such combat zones like Afghanistan?

It seems like a good idea on paper with any people going on multiple tours with dwell time being a year or shorter before going again.

“We’re not going to get there, I don’t think, in the next two years, but shortly after that I think we’d be able to do something,” Casey said. “Right now, the volume of the deployments is just too fast, too much.”

But that is the whole point of a reduce deployment cycle is to be used to reduce the stress from a multiple deployments. So if the face that we cannot do it with the high level of deployments now what is going to change in two years if the tempo is the same.

I mean over all a nice thought, but I do not think that is is possible. I mean for a while the twelve months was not enough. So expect this policy to not last very long or being postponed all together.
