  • Blue America does not Back the Blue

Oh, the irony. A few days after the Obama administration parades police officers sympathetic to their gun grab, we have the same liberals who support gun control effusively supporting a cop killer. From social media to mainstream we find those who supposedly want firearms removed from society celebrating their use when it comes to killing cops in California. From Facebook to Twitter to Chris Matthews and NBC, there comes an outpouring of sympathy and support for a rogue cop who has murdered other cops as well as total innocents, and vowed to murder more before he was taken out by those he targeted.

An obviously disturbed ex-cop and recently discharged naval reserve officer goes on a rampage of resentment with a declared intent of murdering police officers and the Blue liberals of this country align themselves with him, effectively saying they approve of killing serving police officers. This should really be no surprise as liberals have been supporting cop killers since the 1970’s when the good buddy of our commander-in-chief, Bill Ayres, found police personnel and police facilities legitimate targets for his domestic terror campaign. That this murderous thug is not in prison for life is a travesty. That he’s a confidante of an American president is a disgrace.

So, I would ask all those officers in that not-so-Long Blue Line who lined up to be smartly-uniformed, photo-shoot mannequins for Obama’s gun-control pitch, how do you like being in bed with those who celebrate and revel in seeing you and your kind dead? Consider for a moment that you were paraded before the cameras as useful idiots by a political movement that ultimately bears you no good will. You should ask yourselves which Americans immerse themselves in the cop-killing lyrics of rap and the celebration of anarchy. Are those the folks who typically would be called conservatives who want to preserve the freedoms guaranteed them by the constitution? Of course they aren’t. Are they the keyboard-pounding lefties supporting a cop-killing misfit in California? Well just look at the Internet and the answer becomes obvious.

Law-abiding Americans who want to keep and bear arms, even so-called assault rifles, are not the enemies of the police. We are your most solid supporters. We’re not the ones who call you pigs. It is the same Left who wants to disarm Americans who also bears a deep burning resentment and hatred of those of you who protect and serve. That anti-police animus goes back to the birth of communism in czarist Russia and it hasn’t weakened a bit in the intervening years. They hate you, purely and simply, but they have no compunctions against enlisting you in their cause when it suits and serves them, as Obama just did. The rallying of the Left and the mainstream media to this California cop-killer should be a wake-up call for those of you who have been seduced into serving their gun control efforts. Law enforcement officers around this country allowing themselves to be used by Obama need to wake up and realize the truth:

Blue America does not Back the Blue; sadly they do, however, celebrate your killers.

  • Chuckling Contentedly, Deep in the Heart of Texas

When Rick Perry flubbed his presidential chances so badly on the national stage, there were many among his supporters who were bewildered at his seeming inability to transfer his many successes in Texas to the national stage. Although just as frustrated as those folks were, some of us were not quite as baffled because there was a suspicion within us that Rick Perry simply didn’t want the job nor the heat and heartbreak it entails. There was a sense that Perry was simply contented with being the popular and longest serving governor of the world’s 14th or so largest economy. He was a big frog in a big luxuriant pond who didn’t really see any advantage to becoming a bigger frog in the admittedly larger, but stagnating swamp the first four years of Obama’s reign had produced.

If Perry did indeed self-destruct it was probably not consciously; but there’s an inescapable feeling that he certainly did not give it his best shot. He had to well know how contentious national governance had been for the last Texan president, George W. Bush, with such an unrelentingly hostile media, and that his own occupation of that office couldn’t really offer a future any sensible politician would eagerly embrace. Especially when he could just go back to Texas and bask in the role of being the popular, down-home, chief executive of one of the world’s most successful economies. Ask yourself, given that choice, what would you do?

So here we are many months down the road and Barack Obama is saddled with all the problems of an idling economy, a steadily rising China, a crumbling Middle East situation and a renascent Al Qaeda on the African continent, and where do we find Rick Perry? How about touring taxed-to-damned-near-dead California businesses, touting the hugely friendlier and vastly more favorable business environment in his flourishing Lone Star state than in Guv Moonbeam’s headed-for-default disaster which lamely still calls itself golden?

Similar enticing offers are being made to the many huge economic engines in New York and Illinois with the tempting message that not only will you be taxed far less in Texas, you’ll have legal protections against frivolous lawsuits and when you invest your hard-earned profits in your business, your home and your family, you can protect them with all the firearms you choose to have at hand because Texans damned well believe in the inalienable 2d Amendment right of defense of self, loved ones and property.

So you tell me who’s having more fun: a supremely confident Rick Perry who knows how to govern, out there in California gathering even more low-hanging fruit for an already flourishing Texas economy or that desperate amateur in the White House who’s spinning his wheels in an office he’s clueless to occupy? Perry’s walking the walk, adding jobs by the thousands while the guy who won the big contest is still just talking the campaign talk about doing something. Look at their respective pics: the loser Rick, the older of the two, has a little grey around the temples, unchanged from the campaign, while the victor is going big-time grey from forehead to neck nape and from one huge ear to the other. Somehow I think I can hear Rick Perry chuckling contentedly, deep in the heart of Texas.

And probably in his jaunts up and down the Left Coast as well.

  • A Case of Real Military Injustice

ABC, one of the of the usually lame-stream media networks, has a real story about denied military benefits that all the media should be following instead of the fabricated Esquire article that has garnered so much attention. Amazingly, ABC is actually reporting on the inability of the victims of the Fort Hood shooting to obtain needed medical care because of political games being played by the Obama administration.

It seems that the White House’s insistence that the attack by Major Nidal Hasan was not a terrorist attack but rather an incident of workplace violence is creating bureaucratic difficulties for the victims of the shooting and their families. One of the two Fort Hood police officers who confronted Hasan, former Sgt. Kimberley Munley, who was seated next to FLOTUS for Obama’s SOTU three years ago, is mincing no words in an ABC interview. She says Obama broke his promise to see that the victims would be well cared for.

“Betrayed is a good word,” former Sgt. Munley told ABC News in a tearful interview to be broadcast tonight on “World News with Diane Sawyer” and “Nightline.”

“Not to the least little bit have the victims been taken care of,” she said. “In fact they’ve been neglected.”

According to the report, even in the face of evidence that Hasan was communicating with the now droned dead terrorist leader, Anwar al Awlaki, who encouraged Hasan to carry out his mission of Jihad, the government’s word games have had very serious consequences, so serious that Munley and dozens of others have filed suit. They claim that because of that workplace violence designation they are not receiving the care they would be were the attack properly identified as what it was, a terrorist attack. Because of political semantics, they claim they are being denied combat-related care and benefits they would be entitled to were the shooting properly classified.

One of the victims, who was shot six times and still has two bullets lodged in his body says:

“These guys play stupid every time they’re asked a question about it, they pretend like they have no clue.”

“It was no different than an insurgent in Iraq or Afghanistan trying to kill us,”

Manning’s injuries were initially ruled combat related by a medical review board but that was overturned by Army brass higher up in the command structure, Manning says that has cost him $70,000 in lost benefits.

To get the full effect of how this administration’s politically-correct insistence on denying the obvious go read the full article at ABC News website. Whereas the dubious Esquire story is being roundly denounced by military personnel, their response to this blatantly unfair treatment will likely be much more supportive and be readily seen as political interference originating at the very top of the chain of command.

  • Is “Shooter” a Liberal Composite like Obama’s Girlfriends?

I just read the full seven pages of Bronstein’s very disjointed Esquire article and my conclusion is that it’s most likely partially true that the author had contact with someone(s) from the actual mission but that the protagonist, “Shooter,” is most likely a composite character (like Obama’s girlfriends) created by the liberal Bronstein to provide the literary license to over-dramatize the situation and give the military a black eye.

I agree with others here that it makes no sense for “Shooter” to jump at sixteen years when we all know that the Navy would give a stud like this a non-combat job in a heartbeat if he wasn’t otherwise a screw-up. Bronstein does hint at “Shooter” having problems with his fellow team members as well as higher ups.

If I wanted to be generous to Bronstein, I might consider that he used a composite character to provide anonymity and protect the SEAL’s who provided him with mission information. But knowing what a lib Bronstein is, I don’t. As is usually true with liberal reporting about the military, we’re probably getting a bit of the real deal slathered with a whole lot of anti-military BS, a partially true fabrication written to support a liberal viewpoint. And it would have been very easy for Bronstein to fact-check the medical benefits angle to determine the truth, which he obviously did not, most likely because it would have derailed his anti-military narrative.

It would be interesting to hear what Capt. Larry Bailey has to opine. Jonn?

  • Ambush at Hilton Hollow

Wow! The commander-in-chief of the most powerful military force the world has ever seen walked right into an ambush with no cover, no concealment and no security at the National Prayer Breakfast at the Washington Hilton. Forced to sit at the dais and suck it up while a renowned pediatric neurosurgeon from Johns Hopkins Medical School, Dr. Benjamin Carson, debunked the concept of Obamacare as well as pointing out the president’s seeming indifference to the national debt, Obama did his best to smile but he simply could not suppress that droned-out expression, the one, you know, that kills.

Obama’s first frown comes a few minutes into the talk when Dr. Carson uses the term, PC, for politically correct, in his discussion of how difficult it is to speak these days without offending someone’s too-tender sensibilities. The doctor uses humor and evokes a laugh from the president but the presidential expression becomes somber again when Carver flat-out states that political correctness is a social evil in the way it prevents honest discourse and the exchange of ideas.

Obama continues to maintain a somber mien throughout the remainder of the speech as Dr. Carson decries the dumbing down of education in America and undermines Obamacare with the offer of a simpler, funded from birth, medical savings account, much as George Bush proposed. I may be wrong but I do not think I saw the president join in the frequent applause a single time until the conclusion of the speech. He sat there primarily stone-faced and unresponsive throughout.

Dr. Carson came across as an intelligent, self-made man of great common good sense who is neither a declared liberal nor conservative. However, that uncommon good sense and repudiation of political correctness and all those things that are wrong with this liberal-controlled country most assuredly make him a conservative thinker. To stand up there and speak his mind so openly in front of the president makes him a man of uncommon courage as well.

Want to bet Obama’s praying he never gets another egg-on-your-face breakfast like this one?

  • This Time it’s Clearly One of Theirs

A rogue cop in California has gone on a killing streak, publishing a manifesto declaring himself a supporter of virtually everything liberal in America but outside the law. This renegade officer used a firearm to kill two innocent humans because of their collateral relationship to his own career failures. These were killings of retribution to get back at the parent of one of the victims who apparently had insufficiently represented the killer in a police competency hearing. The killer subsequently killed a cop who was pursuing him.

So will we hear cries from the left to disarm the potential perpetrators of such mindless mayhem? Will we hear op-ed pieces as to why all these cops are allowed to go armed amongst a helpless civilian population? Two things come to mind with the first being that the perp has published his manifesto in which he condemns every aspect of conservatism while effusively praising virtually everything liberal including the networks who should, if they were honest, be disclosing all this, but in reality won’t because this time, it’s undeniably a perp of the left doing the killing.

The left won’t use these particular killings to further their gun control campaign because it would belie their conventional wisdom that all such madmen are conservatives. Even they know in their heart of hearts that it makes no sense to disarm American citizens who increasingly are faced with the prospect of physically defending themselves against violence because the cops simply can’t get there in time. It is a reality that a liberal, generally coastal and urban minority in this country, will continue to deny for no other reason than that it makes them somehow feel morally superior to those of us with the common sense, presence of mind to keep a loaded handgun ready on the bed side stand. And fools that they are, they are the ones who fall victims to violence far more frequently than we who are armed.

And so, we will hear no strident reactions in the mainstream media because this time there is no denying this killer is one of theirs, a liberal rogue cop who advocates gun control while praising the president who seeks to disarm the American people. That this killer is black further lends to the muted response of the major networks for that is an inconvenient truth: a black man who, according to his own writings, is a huge supporter of everything liberal in this country, including the mainstream news outlets that should be reporting the truth of his mindless rampage.

    It will never happen…

  • Getting the Leach to Drop Off

There is a sure way to get Joe to depart from this site and eventually never return: Never, ever respond to anything he posts here no matter how insulting or outrageous. Ignore his input as you would that of an old demented uncle who spouts profanities at the Thanksgiving table. It may be one of the most difficult things you ever do but it is the right thing.
Trolls like Joe feed off the anger they incite, like leaches sucking blood from the host where they have attached themselves.

Leaches inject enzymes into the host body to make the blood flow freely, thus Joe’s infuriating little insertions into comments at TAH. Joe dissolves your restraint and every response you write in all your righteous fury is just more blood in the sucking jaws of a leach like Joe. When I was in Vietnam, we got read of leaches by applying the hot tip of a cigarette to their slimy little bodies. That doesn’t work with Joe; he thrives on the heat so the only way to get rid of him is to cut off the blood supply. That equals silence.

My suspicion is that Joe is a rather lonely old guy who life has passed by. His self-description of being an armchair geologist indicates he never made it to being the real thing. He craves attention and those who respond to him are feeding red meat to his starving ego which I would wager resembles a Gulag prisoner, shriveled cold beyond belief, emaciated to protruding ribs and lonely as a wandering asteroid. So starve him to death, a troll death, at least. Quit feeding his needy ego and he’ll go elsewhere like a wild animal that comes around seeking scraps. No food-no reward-no point in showing up.

So please, do not comment on this piece other than to agree or disagree. Whatever Joe posts, ignore him.

Then learn not to respond to Joe ever again. If he posts a comment, simply ignore it and post what you would have, had the bloodsucker not bitten your butt. When engorged leaches have their fill, they drop off. But more importantly, they learn to not even attach to a surface where no blood is available. Keep that in mind and Joe will remain in the muck of the liberal fever swamp where he belongs and not sucking on the butt cheeks of this blog.

Remember: no blood, soon no leach…

  • Morally Vicious, Intellectually Vacuous Left, Always With Us

It is a sad day in the warrior community when one of our own is slain by another of our own. In the extant situation, the shooting of a genuine hero, former SEAL, Chris Kyle, it seems fairly evident that his killer, a former Marine, is suffering from PTSD. While his mental state will never provide total absolution from his guilt, for those of us here who have seen ground combat, suffered its lingering effects and overcome them over time, our condemnation has to be mostly of the crime and not the man. That said, I fully understand the anger shown in yesterday’s comments here at TAH.

What are harder to fathom or forgive are the rabidly vicious comments bubbling up from the sulphurous depths of leftist fury. To their everlasting shame, some in the liberal media always will resort to this sort of cruel gloating at the death of a man who served his country well. However when reading the truly hateful comments on the social networks, it is helpful to bear in mind who the most likely perpetrators of such venom actually are. Picture some pimply-faced, insecure, unemployed nerd with a degree in humanities, cloistered in his old bedroom at his parent’s home, angrily banging away at the keyboard, venting his self-caused frustration at those who have accomplished so much more with their lives than he can ever hope to. Picture that and you will probably have a fairly close image of your culprit.

Thanks to Obamanomics, our country has far too many of these contemporary cave-dwellers still dependent on their parents; and, unrecognized by them, it is the failure of their Great Leader’s socialist policies to lead them out of their darkened bedrooms into a world of prosperity that has them so frustrated and resentful. What the younger of you reading this don’t realize is how fortunate we are that so many of these trolls are hidden away from sight. When I returned from Vietnam in December 1966, the streets and campuses were full of these effete mama’s boys and their equally deluded female counterparts, all screaming vicious anti-military and anti-American slogans provided by Soviet propagandists who couldn’t believe their incredible luck in having so many gullible chumps available to do their dirty work.

Tens of thousands of those useful idiots, even then as now, unsuited for real work and achievement, eventually migrated into that field best suited for such people, education, and created a huge socialist incubator warmed and fed with our tax dollars, that today continues to perpetuate this parade of know-nothing, liberal twits who mistakenly fancy themselves intellectually and morally superior to the rest of us. It is on such occasions as the death of Chris Kyle that we get an opportunity to see that moral and intellectual superiority for just what it truly is, juvenile emotionalism grounded in insulated ignorance and made manifest in a venomous and frenzied hatred of anyone who disagrees with them.

We had a “Joe” back in my day with a far larger audience than the fool who trolls here. That was John F. Kerry and the vicious slanders and libels he directed at Vietnam veterans makes our Joe look like the minor league putz he his. We Vietnam vets have had to stifle our anger for decades as the liberal Democrats deified this traitor and even tried to make him our commander-in-chief. Now we have to suppress the urge to scream out our frustrations as this fool of a president spits in our eyes by elevating Kerry even further, making him representative to the world for the nation he betrayed. But then, that’s Democrats for you.

While you lefties vilify our dead hero, I will honor one of yours by congratulating the “Lion of the Senate” Ted Kennedy, for now having gone three years, five months and eight days without a drink. What a lady-killer that Teddy, a true liberal icon and hero, right up there in the Democrat pantheon with phony war hero, John Kerry, serial sexual predator, Bill Clinton and Marxist, Muslim skeetster, Barack Obama. It is so predictably perverted how all you morally and intellectually superior liberal elites pick your heroes that it is almost laughable; almost, not quite. Actually it’s rather sad, so you can keep ‘em.

We have a tradition of honoring authentic heroes: RIP Chris Kyle.
