  • Turkey Detains 17 Re: the Istanbul Bombing

Most TAH readers probably have heard of the recent terrorist bombing in the tourist area of Istanbul, Turkey.  Well, it appears that Turkey now has 17 persons in custody and potentially facing terrorism charges related to that bombing.

Wanna guess where those 17 individuals Turkey had detained came from?

If you guessed “Syria” – give yourself a gold star.  No word on how many were “refugees”.

But don’t worry, folks.  Our State Department is “thoroughly vetting” any Syrian “refugees” we may admit to the USA.  In fact, we’re vetting them almost as well as we’re checking out foreign-born spouses of US citizens.

  • Numbah 10 GI! (Or Maybe 11 or 12 or . . . . )

Well, that didn’t take too long. Apparently I’ve been “identified” once again by a member or members of a certain Dense, Royally Clueless grupo de cochinos.

But wonder-of-wonders, behold!  This time around I’m not an ex-Navy SEAL.  In the words of the late Red Foxx character Fred Sanford: “This is the big one, Elizabeth! I’m comin’ to join ya!”

Well, no – not really.  I’ve seen enough abject idiocy on the part of Dieses Pack von Schwein-Hunde that I don’t think their foolishness could possibly surprise me enough to do more than raise my eyebrows a bit, then laugh.  There’s no way it would shock me enough to cause heart palpitations.

But this time, they’ve taken a new tack.  Instead of identifying me as being a true BAMF SEAL/SF guy/Diver, this time they say I’m a published author – and a Professor Emeritus at Brooklyn Law School.  On top of that, I was also apparently a very famous individual’s personal lawyer many years ago.

I’ll spare the guy any further grief by not mentioning his name here.

I can’t decide whether I should be flattered or annoyed by this newest misidentification, though.  Previously our “friends” apparently sat around fapping and moaning to pictures of bona fide badasses until they picked one to identify as me – call it the “DRC Ouija Board Method”.  This time, they instead chose someone brilliant enough to be both a law professor and the personal lawyer for a renowned celebrity.

Does the complement regarding intellect make up for the fact that they’ve given up using the DRC Ouija Board Method and didn’t misidentify me as yet another true BAMF?  I’ll have to think about that for a while.  But either way, I guess it’s really kinda flattering.

Anyway:  you think I’d remember all of that stuff they claim I did.  But for some reason, I . . . don’t.

Maybe it’s because other than the occasional articles Jonn lets me contribute gratis here TAH, I’m not an author.  I’ve also never set foot in Brooklyn Law School – much less taught there. Further, I’ve also never had the pleasure of meeting the celebrity in question (who is now deceased), so I hardly think I was ever their personal lawyer.

Finally, this latest DRC mental misfire regarding who I am has me graduating from college and afterwards serving in the Army during the freaking Eisenhower Administration, shortly after the Korean War.  Um, no  – I can assure you I wasn’t.  I’m no longer a youngster – but I’m not in my 80s, either.  And I’m pretty sure I’d remember serving under Eisenhower as CINC if that happened, too.

It seems to me like I just didn’t do any of that stuff.  And guess what?  That’s because I didn’t.

In short:  these cork-shucking manure-for-brains jerks are 100% wrong on their latest “identification”.

    Again.

For at least the tenth damn time.

Here’s the recap:  according to the DRC, previously I’ve been a multi-star Army GO; a TAH reader using a different screen name; four different former Navy SEALs; a SF SGM; a serving Army officer; and a Navy Diver.  (If you’re curious, see this prior article for more details.)  This time around I’m a vet who served during the Eisenhower Administration – and who was later a law professor, author, and a deceased celebrity’s personal lawyer.  And I’m sure I’ve missed one or two somewhere along the way.

Yo, DRC:  (flip) here’s a quarter.  Go buy a yourselves clue; you need one badly.  You damn sure don’t have one at present.

  • Yer Friday Funny: “Here is a better photo that one is terrible.”

We all know criminals usually aren’t the proverbial “sharpest knife in the drawer”.  But every once in a while, you see some idiocy involving a criminal that makes you say, “YGBSM!!”

Take the case of Donald “Chip” Pugh, 45.

Pugh was facing charges of drunk driving in Lima, OH.  He failed to appear at a scheduled court hearing on 28 December, and a warrant was issued for his arrest.

Apparently the Lima PD also publicized his mugshot online.  And that didn’t sit well with Pugh.

So he took a selfie – and sent it to the Lima PD for their use as a replacement mugshot – accompanied by a rather narcissistic message.  I quoted his message above in the title of this article.

Well, as the old saying goes: he “really shouldn’t oughta done that.”  His sending that “replacement mugshot selfie” made the news.

Apparently social media tips and/or other information generated by his sending that photo to the Lima, Ohio, PD allowed LE to locate him.  Pugh was arrested in Century, Florida earlier this week.

    Sheesh.  What a freaking moron.

  • An Update on the Latest Iranian Incident

The Pentagon has now released its take on the cause of the incident.

The SECDEF earlier today said that that the US craft entered entered Iranian waters “due to a navigational error”.

I’m guessing someone’s career is toast about now.

  • Six More Are Identified

DPAA has identified and accounted for the following formerly-missing US military personnel.

    From World War II

CPO Albert E. Hayden, assigned to the crew of the USS Oklahoma, US Navy, was lost on 7 December 1941 at Pearl Harbor, HI.  He was accounted for on 7 December 2015.

ENS Lewis. S Stockdale, assigned to the crew of the USS Oklahoma, US Navy, was lost on 7 December 1941 at Pearl Harbor, HI.  He was accounted for on 15 December 2015.

Seaman 2nd Class Dale F. Pearce, assigned to the crew of the USS Oklahoma, US Navy, was lost on 7 December 1941 at Pearl Harbor, HI.  He was accounted for on 16 December 2015.

PO1 Vernon T. Luke, assigned to the crew of the USS Oklahoma, US Navy, was lost on 7 December 1941 at Pearl Harbor, HI.  He was accounted for on 17 December 2015.

CPO Duff Gordon, assigned to the crew of the USS Oklahoma, US Navy, was lost on 7 December 1941 at Pearl Harbor, HI.  He was accounted for on 18 December 2015.

    From Korea

CPL Kenneth R. Stuck, L Company, 3rd Battalion, 8th Cavalry Regiment, 1st Cavalry Division, US Army, was lost on 2 November 1950 in North Korea.  He was accounted for on 8 January 2016.

You’re no longer missing, elder brothers-in-arms.  Our apologies that your return took so long.

Now you’re home. Rest in peace.

    . . .

Over 73,000 US personnel remain unaccounted for from World War II; over 7,800 US personnel remain unaccounted for from the Korean War; and over 1,600 remain unaccounted for in Southeast Asia (SEA).  Comparison of mitochondrial DNA (mtDNA) from recovered remains against mtDNA from a matrilineal descendant can assist in making a positive ID for unidentified remains that have already been recovered, or which may be recovered in the future.

DPAA’s web site now has what appears to be a decent “Contact Us” page.  The page doesn’t have instructions concerning who can and cannot submit a mtDNA sample or how to submit one, but the POCs listed there may be able to refer you to someone who can answer that question – or may be able to answer the question themselves.  If you think you might possibly qualify, please contact one of those POCs for further information.

If your family lost someone in one of these conflicts and you qualify to submit a mtDNA sample, please arrange to submit one.  By doing that you just might help identify the remains of a US service member who’s been repatriated but not yet been identified – as well as a relative of yours, however distant.  Or you may help to identify remains to be recovered in the future.

Everybody deserves a proper burial.  That’s especially true for those who gave their all while serving this nation.

  • A Clintoon “Private” Email Update

Well, it’s time for a long-overdue periodic update on the Neverending Saga of the Clintoon Private Email Server. And for anyone who’s a Hillary “fanboy”, well . . . things ain’t lookin’ so good these days.

Why? Well, let’s just look at the current “biggies”:

Over 1300 emails containing classified information were sent to Clintoon at her “private” email address. At least two were indeed classified Top Secret.

    • New email has been discovered that appears to show Clintoon “encouraging” subordinates to strip classification markings from documents and send them to her on her unsecure system anyway.

    • Oh, and did I mention that the FBI is now looking hard at the confluence of DoS and Clintoon Foundation business exhibited by Ms. Clintoon while SECSTATE? Looking hard, as in “with an eye towards possible public corruption charges”? Corruption, as in possible evidence of “pay for play” quid pro quo?

And, on the non-email side:  it seems the Department of State recently found a rather large cache of unreviewed documents from the time Clintoon was SECSTATE.  They’re under court order to provide those to Judicial Watch if relevant to an ongoing lawsuit – and it appears many of those newly-discovered documents will be relevant.

Yeah, it seems things aren’t going too well for Team Clintoon these days. As the elder President Bush’s wife Barbara might have put it, “It couldn’t happen to a nicer witch.”

  • Iran Seizes, Then Apparently Releases 10 US Sailors

Yesterday evening and this morning, looks like a bit of drama played out. Iran’s state news claims the Iranian Revolutionary Guard seized 2 US riverine boats crewed by 10 US sailors while those boats were in the Persian Gulf. The Iranian medial also claims the sailors have now been released; however, US sources do not appear to have yet confirmed that. It’s unclear whether the two riverine boats were also released.

Prior to their release, a Revolutionary Guard spokesman said the sailors would be “debriefed”. They also accused the boats of exhibiting “unprofessional acts” and of possibly having intentionally entered Iranian waters.

The two boats apparently drifted into Iranian waters after having mechanical problems. They were enroute from Bahrain to Kuwait.

Given the fact that the POTUS gave the State of the Union address yesterday and other recent incidents between Iranian and US naval forces, does anyone out there really think the timing here was coincidental?
