    Now the Insanity Starts

Well here we are once again. The last regular weekend of the year. Enjoy it. The rest of this year will be full of guilt for putting off shopping or repressed rage for going shopping. Tempers will flare, assaults will happen in Walmarts all over the country bedlam and insanity will reign over us, in this the season of love, peace on earth and goodwill to men.

I had a conversation the other day with a fellow hater of the holidays. We can spot one another you know. We see in each others body language and tone of voice a longing for times gone by. A time when store did not open on Thanksgiving Day, A time where deaths did not occur over a 5 dollar toaster or a good deal on TV. We remember fondly when the schedule for Thanksgiving was we start eating around 1:30 come on when you get ready. Now its the first sale starts a 4 PM so you better be here by 10 am if you want food.

OK so I lied, I dont hate the holidays, I mourn their loss. I hate seeing people plan the storming of Walmart, Sears, JCPenney and so forth like they were the beaches of Normandy. As sure as the sun will rise tomorrow people are acting like covert agents today trying to get the layout maps for black friday sales. They will toil over them, looking for choke points, planning the best routes to take so that they may get from one sale item to the other in the least amount of time. I would love to see this played as a war game. I can imagine sand tables with scores of holiday shoppers around them. Pointing out flaws in the plans. Taking Europe back from the Nazis was childs play compared to getting a 3 dollar Mr. Coffee.

All over this country people are camping out in front of Best Buy and other big retailers. I guess its kind of like being deployed. Shopping carts are being converted into makeshift forts. Starbucks are command post. Runners are bringing those brave shoppers on the front lines food, and of course the latest intel (Sales Fliers) God help the poor store managers if there is a misprint in an add. Faulty Intel is worse than no intel. Mt God man you are sending them onto a slaughter…

So from me to you, Enjoy this, the last normal weekend of 2014. God be with those of you going into that fate worse than hell. I will be going into the bunker soon. I have enough Ramen and beef jerky to get me to January.

  • The Constitution Just gets in the way.

Jonn’s post on Robert Bateman’s Esquire article helped me to bring together several thought I have been trying to write about the for the last several days.  That topic would be our Constitutional Rights.

What made me start thinking about the the Bill of Rights again was this Video

    [youtube http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1XExqABO4kc&w=500&h=300]

It’s clear the the officer was way out of line. He has resigned and has been charged. The City and the officer are being sued for civil rights violations.

I cant help but wonder how many other people this officer intimidated before now. How many people are afraid of the government?

I can write the textbook explanation of why the Bill of Rights came into being. But the reason that I think is much more primitive. Fear, plain and simple fear.  Those 10 amendments are not intended to protect the people from each other. They are intended to protect the people from the government and to limit the power of the government.

But here we are, we have more police officer like the one on the video than I care to think about, We have politicians trying to introduce and pass laws that directly   contradict the Bill of Rights. They pass laws that try to impose limits on those rights.  What would have caused the people to yell in outrage in past generations is now met with outrage by only a few.

Robert Bateman is a great example, he does not hesitate to use his title of Lt. Col (Retired) then he give his point of view on the 2ond amendment. If you notice he is careful not to bring up the Constitution, if he did he would be wrong, what he does is instills a fear.  Like in the Esquire article he brings fear into play.  That person may have a scary gun, lets be afraid of the gun.  Then he mocks and scorns the right in question. When he is called out on his actions he is quick to point out the he used to be in the Army, that he was an officer. He uses that credential to buy him credibility. He gives the illusion of being the sheepdog, when in reality he is only the loudest of the bleating sheep.

It alarms me at how fast many of the people in this country are willing to set aside their Constitutional Rights for the illusion of greater safety. Mr. Bateman skirts this issue by using “God Given” in place of Constitutional.  They like to play the if game. “If we ban the scary assault weapons, then criminals wont have them”  If we let the police just search our homes for no reason, it will make catching criminals easier”   “If you are exercising a constitutional right I don’t understand it scares me, because the press or the politicians have told me I should be scared” The reality is lost on them.  Giving any ground, on any right is the same as losing that right.

Our rights are not “God Given” they were won with blood. They were fought for originally and  each generation has had to prove we are worthy in its own way. One of the things that has made this nation great is the people’s right to question and correct injustice. The power to do that come with Bill of Rights.  We protest for change, we question the Government because we can.

I used two examples of how the rights of the people are being chipped away at, one was blatant. The police officer in a slightly different uniform could have been a Nazi, he forgot that his power comes from the people, not the government.  The other in the article that Mister Bateman wrote, his way is more subversive, so much so that I don’t think he even realizes  what he is doing.  He used his own assumptions to question another American’s rights. Right’s we hold so dear to our existence that just by simply being in this country  a person has them.

I ask this of Robert Bateman Lt. Col. USA Retired, How dare you?  How dare you use your title to give credence to the idea that any American does not have the freedom exercise any  “Constitutional Right?  How dare you imply  that your Military rank gives you the voice of authority on any constitutional matter?  How dare you mock and scorn any man woman or child in this or any other country using that rank?

You do not hold and elected office, you have no more authority than any other person, yet you act as if you are some great prophet who speaks for all of the military community.  You scorned and mocked my rights in a public manner so I am answering you in the same way, you pompous self important ass.

  • Welcome Home Bush Battle Group

The Bush Battle Group will come home today and tomorrow. They have been deployed for 9 months.

Among the many thousand of Sailors and Marines setting foot on US soil again is my son.

They have done in the last nine months what the Navy exist to do.  They have protected shipping from pirates off the coast of Africa, provided safe transit for vessels of all nationalities,   escorted a tanker that had been hijacked to its home port,  over ten thousand hours flying all types of aircraft in all weather to support the missions in Afghanistan and   Iraq. They were the point of the spear against ISIS, flying aircraft against targets as well as launching ship based Tomahawk missiles. They took fast ships in harms way to protect not only our Nation but every nation.  The Carl Vinson took the Bush’s place. The CV will continue to do what the Navy does.

But my son is coming home. The USS Phillipine Sea pulls into port Saturday he will be one of the Sailors Manning the Rails. When he left he was an ADAN, he is now a AD3. He earned his Air Warfare wings shortly before they deployed. He earned his surface warfare while deployed. He has a sea service ribbon now,  The Global was on Terror Expeditionary Medal and one or two others. He is a better Sailor than I ever was. Hell the truth is he is a better man than I am.  I could not be any prouder of him.

I was supposed to be on the pier when the ship pulls in. For many reasons beyond my control I wont be able to make it. But I can make sure that he and some of the other young men and women returning home see this.

Welcome Home, Thank you for your sacrifice.  You have protected us by giving up your own liberties for a time. You have worked in all weather and lived in conditions that would not be allowed for prisoners. Every one of you volunteered to become part of the mixture of people and machines that offer our Nation greater protection than any other nation on the face of the earth has ever has enjoyed.  Each and every one of you has missed some major life event in the last nine months. Birthdays of yourselves and loves ones. Births of children. the list is endless.  As you come home others are still on the front lines and others still are preparing to pay the sacrifice that true liberty demands.

My pride is not limited to my son, but extends to each and everyone of you. You are all the sons and daughters of this nation, Your age, race or rank does not matter, What does matter is that you are home safe.

Welcome home  Zachary T. Wilson  AD3 (AW, SW)  I have missed you. I love you and will see you soon.

  • The World According to Bernath

Some months ago Hondo with my permission took a comment I had made on Derek Church and made it into a guest article.  In the months that have passed  Jonn has allowed me to post my opinions and ramblings. Contrary to Bernaths and others beliefs, Jonn nor anyone else directs me on what to write or even knows when I am going to post.  I am eternally grateful to Jonn, TSO and Hondo for giving me me the latitude to express myself and hopefully spur  a conversation.  I have learned so many things from writing on this blog, not only from the research I do but from the comments of every person that post.  I think that for the first time in my life I understand how one persons point of view can make a difference, I have a better understanding of what the founding fathers had in mind when they decided that freedom of speech and freedom of the press were essential to the future of this nation.  This open style forum and others like it embody the very spirit of of those ideas.  They are a natural progression of technology  that started with Benjamin Franklin and his printing press.

Bernath and Wittgenfeld took the open letter that I wrote to Derek Church and decided it was the Manifesto for TAH. I don’t think either of them understand what a manifesto really is, they think its something evil or wrong when in reality it is simply  a published verbal declaration of the intentions, motives, or views of the issuer, be it an individual, group, political party or government.  In this case it was my own individual expression of the contempt I feel for Derek Church and any other person who claims military awards, rank or service that are not rightfully earned.  Bernath was trying to imply that there is evil intent in what I wrote. He has failed. I would be proud to have my words used as a mission statement, but there would have to be a mission first.

Bernath may or may not have been made an honorary Chief Photographers Mate by the Chief Photographers Mate Round Up.   If he was it in no way shape form or fashion entitles him to use the title of Chief Petty Officer (Hon) that we have all see him use, he even requested to be addressed as such in  court.  It did not entitle him to go out and purchase a Senior Chief Gold Rating patch and sew it onto his Jacket. It did not entitle him to take a photograph of PH1 Shepherd and cause it to be altered to his own image. . No person with a fundamental knowledge of Navy ranks and rates who ever saw him wearing the Sr Chiefs Gold Rating Badge would think him to be anything other than a Senior Chief Photographer’s Mate   with over 12 years of honorable service. He was in fact a Petty officer 2ond class with slightly over 3 years active duty.  It is for these reasons that Bernath is guilty of stealing valor. The Oregon Bar has deemed him to be a man of low moral character and not worthy to practice law in that state.

Bernath, Wittgenfeld and Wickre have attacked the reputation and traditions of the Navy and the Chiefs Mess, as well as disparaging the service and sacrifice of every man or woman who has ever worn a uniform. They make racist and sexist remarks, they try to instill fear as a silencing and controlling method for those that oppose them.   They like to call those that post here terrorist, when that fact is that only the truth has been posted.  They are the ones who hurt innocent people, they are the ones that post photos of people homes with addresses, they are the one that make up repugnant and vile stories about people and try to pass it off as satire when questioned.  They are the ones that brag and boast about causing real and lasting damage to people.  They are the terrorist.

Bernath, as you try to sleep tonight I hope my words ring in your ears yet again. I hope that in those moments before sleep that you see yourself as others do, You are nothing more than a thief and bully. Try as you might you will never be able to silence the truth.

  • What Veteran’s Day Means To Me

    My favorite book is To Kill a Mockingbird.  Close to the end of the book, after Scout has walked Arthur (Boo) Radley home is this passage;

“Atticus was right. One time he said you never really know a man until you stand in his shoes and walk around in them, just standing on the Radley porch was enough.”

I was sent the essay below by someone very close to me.  It offers a different perspective, one that is shared by all too many people. In short it offers us the chance to stand on her porch.

What Veteran’s Day Means To Me

Holidays are always hard on me.  I dread them with a passion.  If it weren’t for giving my 8-year old son memories and teaching him what they are about, I would disregard them altogether.

I have never served in the military, but my brother did.  He was killed in an accident while serving aboard the USS Coral Sea in 1988.  He died on my 14th birthday.  Even though it has been 26 years, that pain is still very real and very raw.  Especially on holidays.

Most people enjoy Veteran’s Day for many reasons.  Some of those reasons are selfish, such as a paid day off of work, or going to a parade, or even the great Veteran’s Day sales.  Very much like Christmas, the true meaning is lost on many.

I live in a small community.  We only started having Veteran’s Day parades in the past few years.  I took my son for the first time last year because he was in the Boy Scouts and they were part of the ceremony.

Going to a Veteran’s Day ceremony is torture for me.  I see all these fine men and women in their uniforms and listen to the speeches about time served and lives lost.  I have yet to hear Taps played and a 21 gun salute without totally losing every ounce of dignity I have left and bawling like a little girl.  Luckily, a retired Navy man who knows my circumstances saw me last year and came to basically hold me up while I tried to keep from making a total fool of myself.  Even though I would never disrespect those who have served in any way, I go somewhere else in my mind while all of this is going on, so that I don’t have to think about my tremendous loss.  I leave as quickly as humanly possible so I can go home and mourn in private.

There are two ways I look at Veteran’s Day.  First, I am eternally grateful to all who have served and continue to serve.  I have many, many friends who are veterans.  My boyfriend is a veteran.  His son is currently serving. Two of my best friends are veterans. I am friends with at least fifty of my brother’s shipmates.  I honor them and all veterans on this and every day. To me, there are few things in this world more honorable than defending this country.

The second way I view Veteran’s Day is it yet another day of mourning and remembering what I have lost. To be honest, I hate it like I hate all other holidays and days of significance.  Yes, it has been almost 27 years.  But I have lost much more than a sibling.  I lost my protector, years of spending time with him, his wedding, his children, his contribution to our family and society.  And yes, he was my hero, but he was much more.  I have not read ONE negative word about him on any blog or website. He was known to be a hard worker, a great guy, a comedian.  But he was so very much more.  He was my only brother. He was my hero. He was my defender. He was my world.  And he is gone.

So every time these fake pieces of shit put on a uniform and medals they didn’t earn, they are disrespecting him and everything he lived and died for.  I have no doubt there is a special place in hell for them, along with the Westboro Baptist Church members. All I can say to them is karma is an evil bitch with PMS.  May God not have mercy on their souls.

The lady that wrote this is one of the kindest and most honest people I have ever known.

I have seen the pain and anguish that the loss of her brother has caused.  I have seen the genuine passion that she has in supporting all  current and former members of the military.

I cannot think of a better example of true strength and real courage than that of a Gold Star Family.

  • “So there I was…”

I was standing naked as the day I was born. The Navy had taken away the last remnants of my civilian life but had not yet seen fit to let me put on the clothes I had been issued.  I was one of a group of 86 young men that were the just formed Recruit Training Company of 86-261, Recruit training Command San Diego.

Like most of the guys around me it had been a couple of days of first, the first time I had left home, the first time I had flown on a jet, the first time my best efforts were not good enough. Standing in a group of naked men was the low point for me. I was wondering what I had gotten myself into. We has stenciled our names onto one pair of underwear and one plain white tshirt. The Company Commander was reminding us how stupid we were and then Someone called Attention on Deck.

The Company Commander introduced us to the Chaplin. He said a short prayer and then gave us a talk. I don’t remember everything he said but a part of that talk has always stuck with me.

He told us to look around at the other men in the room.  That this was one of the only moments in our lives that we would be absolutely equal to everyone around us. That how much money our parents had or didn’t have made no difference.  He said that  our success or failure in the Navy was completely up to us. He said that every part of our training had a meaning, that no time was wasted.

That was 28 years ago this week. I have often thought about what that Chaplin said. I don’t think there has been any other time in my life that I have had a truly blank slate.

In the coming weeks I will be talking to Don Shipley about his story, I hope to talk to other Veterans about theirs. Please feel free to contact me if you would like to be a part of this project.

  • Bernath and Company, Innocence does not matter

I have several Emails from Bernath and Dallas. I have not posted any of them to date. That is until now.

Earlier today there was an email sent by one of our own expressing concern that the Trifecta of Stupid is still going after innocent people.

I have lost sleep over this matter. The last thing I want is for anyone not involved to get harassed or defamed for something they had no part of or no knowledge of.   This is the reason that I and other have not tried to hide our real names.  All anyone has to do is read the court transcript that Jonn posted today to see that Bernath does not care if he harms those not involved.   He thinks that he can make a false accusation and its up to the accused to prove him wrong.  He and his cohorts make up lies and knowingly drag those not involved into this crap.  My proof of this is below.

We have uncovered many visits to our news publication This Ain’t Hell (Pew!) from an IP address in Raleigh NC.  Of course, with modern technology, powered by our comrades in the running circles in their cages, we can give you the exact location of that IP address.

You have been shucking and jiving around the country for a few weeks now.  So where do you actually want to be legally process served by your local Sheriff..?  Do not run away.  Do not lie.
So far the only person getting tagged with legal process is your innocent partner, who is not guilty, except for hiring you.  You can not use a community college p.o. box as an authentic business address for the North Carolina Department of the State when you actually live and work out of South Carolina,  9 hours away.  You have your own somewhere, right..?
You, Lilyea & Seavey like to play “secret squirrels” hide and seek, huh..
Time & Place, please.   Or do you want me calling all around you… till I find/contact you..?

I highlighted the part where they admit that they are knowing hurting innocent people.

I was never served. I did provide an address for him to serve me at. I contact the local sheriff’s dept every week and even made arrangements  for the attorney in Oregon to accept papers for me.

I am under orders from the Multnomah Presiding Judge to meet and confer with you as a defendant from time to time. Until you hire an attorney at law I will contact you regarding the lawsuit Bernath v. Enigma4you aka dba Wesley Wilson.
If you disapprove then you can request a restraining order from a judge but it is doubtful that you as a defendant will get one.
I am also suing you for making a false statement to the police.  That is another intentional infliction of emotion distress.
So, you threatened to kill me.
You made a false report to a police officer who then contacted me.
    You’ve had a busy day.
