    Art Bell passes

    Today we learn that Art Bell, the host of Coast to Coast AM has passed at the age of 72. His show boasted 10 million nightly listeners to his 30-year-old radio program broadcast from 500 subscribing radio stations. His show was mainly about the paranormal, conspiracy theories and the extraterrestrial.

    He also served during the Vietnam War as an Air Force medic.

    From Heavy;

    Sharon Wehrly, Nye County Sheriff, said that Bell passed away on April 13, 2018, adding that he was “best known for his conspiracy theories.” How did Bell die? That’s unknown, at least for now. He is scheduled for an autopsy later this week to determine the cause of death and was 72-years-old, the sheriff said in a videotaped press announcement.

    I’m sure his death will generate more conspiracy theories.

  • Saturday morning feel good stories

    Saturday morning feel good stories

    From Iredell, Texas;

    Oakly was barking.

    That was unusual, because she seldom actually barks, especially at 7:20 a.m.

    That’s why Oakly’s owner, Owen Turman, decided to get out of bed and head downstairs to quiet the dog. It was Sunday morning, after all.

    What Turman didn’t expect was a strange man in his outdoor sunroom, trying to get into the house.

    Turman, who lives on Culpepper Road off Wilkesboro Highway, quickly snatched his .22-caliber bolt-action rifle and went around back to confront the stranger.

    “I saw him turn the handle on my door and twist real hard trying to get in,” said Turman, recounting the events of April 8. “When I saw that, I instantly put my rifle up at him.”

    He asked the man what he was doing, told him to get away from the door and to lie on the ground. The stranger followed orders, but didn’t answer questions, like who he was or what he was doing. Turman, still in his underwear, called police.

    And he waited.

    His fiancé and two daughters, one 6 years old and the other an infant, remained inside, unaware of what had unfolded outside.

    “My main concern was I have to protect my home and my family,” Turman said. “The only thing I was thinking (was) keeping my family safe.”

    He couldn’t help but worry about the possibility of his oldest daughter coming downstairs and finding her dad pointing a gun at another man. He was worried he’d have to shoot someone in front of his little girl.

    “I want her to know home is a safe place,” he said.

    Turman said that while the suspect lay on the ground, he began rummaging through his pockets. He kept trying to take needles out of his pockets and throw them under Turman’s vehicle, Turman recalled.

    “Look, man, you’re making me nervous,” Turman recalled telling the man before ordering him to stop. But the man continued to dig in his pockets. An Iredell County deputy ran up seconds later.

    Turman said the intruder struggled with the deputy but eventually was taken into custody.

    From Memphis, Tennessee;

    According to the Shelby County Sheriff’s Office, the Papa John’s employee was making a delivery at the Southwind Lake apartments off Shelby Drive when he was approached by two suspects.

    He told police one of the suspects pointed something at him that looked like a gun. He was scared for his safety and opened fire.

    A teen was struck and rushed to the Regional Medical Center in critical condition.

    Two other teens and an 18-year-old named Tjohntay Woods were taken into custody and charged with aggravated robbery and aggravated assault.

  • Fake News targets Vietnam veterans

    Fake News targets Vietnam veterans

    The Atlantic writes today about Fake News sites that targets Vietnam veterans. One of those websites is Veterans Today ran by our old friend, Gordon Duff. A few years ago he got his funding from PressTV, the Iranian mullahs’ news organization. Now the Atlantic claims he’s in the pocket of the Russians;

    The U.S. military community is not a new or unusual target for foreign influence operations. A study published in October by the University of Oxford found that three websites linked to Russia—Veteranstoday.com, Veteransnewsnow.com and Southfront.org—engaged in “significant and persistent interactions” with veterans during the election, concluding in part that veterans are targeted because they tend to be “community leaders” trusted by the public. Russian operatives went as far as to use advertising tools to target users by demographics and geography throughout 2016, prompting House and Senate investigators to question Facebook, Google, and Twitter executives about how foreign actors were exploiting their platforms to conduct influence operations.

    These days, Gordo is focused on pinning the chemical attacks in Syria on Trump and John Bolton. When he’s not blaming aliens for stuff, it’s the Republicans, who apparently, have their own Air Force that they can use against everyone – because everything is a false-flag attack. It’s his favorite line;

    Unfortunately Western corporate media, with financial resources far beyond VT, has played Mickey the Dunce on this whole story, the case usually being that the respective country intelligence agencies have warned them to stay away from it all, or suffer the consequences.

    VT has also followed closely the long series of false flag chemical weapons attacks, both sarin and military-grade chlorine because we knew the Syrians would never be so stupid as to hand their heads to the US Coalition in a silver platter by doing something with no chance of any gain, but exactly the opposite.

    We were also concerned that the longer “they” got away with doing this, the more innocent people would be murdered by the alleged protectors of freedom and democracy in the world, but who we know to be currently among the worst enemies of mankind.

    Unfortunately, despite our best labors, the citizens of these countries have done almost nothing to hold those accountable in their own countries.

    So, now Gordon Duff is carrying Russia’s water under the guise of being news for veterans. It’s a jungle out there.

  • Richard Osborn-Brooks and self defense in the UK

    Richard Osborn-Brooks and self defense in the UK

    Earlier this month, 78-year-old homeowner, Richard Osborn-Brooks was awakened by intruders, Henry Vincent and Billy Jeeves. Vincent was armed with a screw driver which Osborn-Brooks managed to wrestle away and he stabbed Vincent with his own weapon. Vincent and Jeeves ran off, but Vincent stumbled and fell where the police found him when they arrived. The cops promptly arrested Osborn-Brooks on suspicion of grievous bodily harm, but those charges turned to murder when Vincent died.

    Osborn-Brooks’ neighbors rallied in their support for the retiree, according to the Daily Mail;

    ‘He’s a nice man, nice to talk to. He’s an old man – it’s a shame really. I hope the law sees sense and let’s him off. I don’t think it’s right.

    ‘I don’t know his name. I just hope he gets off.

    ‘One of the police told me it’s definitely him that’s been arrested.’

    Adam Lake, who lives near the scene, was also keen to defend his neighbour.

    He said: ‘He doesn’t deserve to be punished for defending himself, and the neighbours that I’ve spoken to all agree that the priority needs to be to support him after everything that he’s been through.

    ‘He was just protecting himself after all.’

    Neighbour Clem Williams, who has lived on the road for 20 years also questioned the man’s arrest, asked: ‘Why were the men at his house? The man has a right to defend his home. They should let him go.’

    According to the Sun, friends of the dead crook have threatened to take their revenge on Osborn-Brooks;

    And now a former acquaintance of dead burglar Henry Vincent says that the late crook, 37, has pals who “won’t rest until they get their revenge” for killing “one of their own”.

    They told Mail Online: “I know that Henry Vincent would have killed the pensioner first if he could have got away with it, but they will act like he’s the victim in all of this.

    “This poor man and his wife won’t be safe going back into their own home.

    “Anything could happen.”

    Friends of Vincent erected a shrine to him outside of Osborn-Brooks’ home to which neighbors took offense. One neighbor tore down the shrine;

    Relatives of Vincent restored the memorial only to have it removed again, according to the Standard;

    Earlier Elvina Lee, who said she was Vincent’s first cousin, called whoever had initially pulled the tributes down “scum” and labelled 78-year-old Mr Osborn-Brooks a “murderer” and a “lowlife”.

    She said: “This is the best place for these flowers to be. I don’t know what’s wrong with these people (who dismantled them)… I think they’re scum.”

    Regarding Vincent she said: “He was like a brother to me, he loved his family and his three babies. He wasn’t a murderer, he wasn’t a rapist, they’re putting (sic) him as a monster.

    “Murderer? The murderer is over there.”

    Osborn-Brooks has since been released by police, but him and his wife are in hiding because of the threats. They are unable to return to their home because they defended it from thieves.

  • Matthew Gosney; phony SEAL

    Matthew Gosney; phony SEAL

    Our partners at Military Phonies share their work on this fellow, Matthew Gosney, who claims to be a US Navy SEAL. He also claims that he was injured in combat by IED at least twice. He’s being treated for his resulting TBI;

    At this link to an interview, at the 13 minute mark, he describes how he went to SEAL Training and how he was shot in the leg and took two IED explosions to his face.

    A rational person would assume that a doctor who is trying to sell his treatment for veterans with PTSD and TBI would actually make sure that the patients that he was treating had done anything that would contribute to that condition. I guess we’re not talking about rational people here.

    The records show that Gosney was in the United States Navy from 2001 to 2008. He was a Hospital Corpsman as he claims and got out as a HM3 or E4. He served with the Marines as a Lab Technician. He did make at least one deployment to Iraq. What is missing from his records is any mention of BUD/S or being stationed with a SEAL Team. He has no Combat Action Ribbon or Purple Hearts that would of been awarded for combat injuries. By his claims he would have three Purple Hearts.

  • Effingham County to become sanctuary for 2nd Amendment

    Ex-PH2 sends us a link to the Effingham Daily News which reports that the Effingham County, Illinois Board is contemplating local legislation that would make the county a sanctuary for gun owners.

    [Effingham County State’s Attorney Bryan] Kibler explained the goal is to protect those people affected by future state legislation by prohibiting the county from enforcing “unconstitutional actions.” He drew a parallel with actions in other fields.

    “If you can be a sanctuary county for undocumented immigrants, why can’t you be one for firearms?” Kibler said.

    He explained that the section, like the rest of the resolution, is largely symbolic.

    “I was in a really surly mood when they sent that to me,” said Kibler.

    The legislative committee voted 8-1 on Monday to advance the resolution to the full county board. Board Member Karen Luchtefeld voted no, saying she hadn’t had enough time to review the resolution.

    From WANDTV;

    “We’re southern Illinois people,” [Lew] Slater said. “We come from all walks of life and it seems like we get a lot of laws crammed down on us and they don’t appear to be very well thought out.”

    And that’s where some members of the Effingham County Board want to step in.

    “Effingham County is a gun-friendly county,” said vice chairman David Campbell.

    Campbell proposed a resolution to make Effingham County a sanctuary county — not for undocumented immigrants — but for gun owners.

    “We’re standing with the Second Amendment firmly and we’re backing the Constitution,” Campbell said.
