Spelling and grammar needs some work. I’m pretty sure whatever pogue was tasked with writing such a citation has a much better grasp on both than this example. Besides as far as I know, the Navy Cross is awarded by the President, not Joint Chiefs.
I lifted this from his most recent eval: “His command of the English language, both orally and in writing, is outstanding and without equal.” (I agree with the ‘without equal’ statement. There couldn’t be two this stupid.
