I was an HM “A” school instructor from 2007-2010. I served as the new instructor orientation LCPO for a time during this period responsible for training new instructors (military and civilian) reporting onboard. Among this instructors was Mr. Rather. I did witness Mr. Rather wear the Naval Special Warfare insignia on two occasions. One was for a class photo and the other a graduation ceremony.
