“Most” USAF that serve 20 years at least reach the rank of MSgt (E-7). Very few retire as a TSgt (E-6), and even fewer finish as a SSgt (E-5). You either need to fuck up pretty bad or have been dealt a real, REAL bad hand to not get promoted to E-7 in 20 years.
I don’t get it. 20 years of honorable service wasn’t enough? I guess not.

yeah, I kinda wondered at the 20 year SSG equivalent. Still, 20yrs of honorable service should be enough. I’m surprised he didn’t pin a Trident on.
