Something stinks about Charlottesville

Evidence is turning up from, of all places, the Southern Poverty Law Center, as well as Breitbart and others, that this character, Jason Kessler, who organized the suspicious and supposed Alt-Right demonstration in Charlottesville, Va. that blew up in everyone’s face, is a cunning lefty holdover from the Occupy Wall Street movement and a former Barack Obama supporter. I smell Soros money, sabotage, and Democrat dirty tricks here.

I’ve been suspicious of the nature of the violence at this supposed Alt-Right demonstration since the news first began breaking. It is no secret that radical elements in the Democrat left have been routinely utilizing violence when it suits their purposes. We also know via secret tapings by Project Veritas that the Democratic Party has a semi-official director of dirty ops, Dick Creamer, who hires, trains, and emplaces professional disruptors to encounter, engage, and infiltrate conservative demonstrations to foment violence, assuring that the demonstrations then become the targets of negative media attention – naturally, against the conservative side. Creamer was caught on videotape boasting about his nefarious capabilities when he thought he was in friendly company.

So here we now have another blown supposedly conservative demonstration, where violence erupts and people are killed, and guess who just happens to be a ringleader of the various ultra-right to Alt-Right organizations ranging from KKK and neo-Nazis to the kind of patriotic folks who might go to a Flag Day celebration! Um, that would be our vaporous political will o’ the wisp, Jason Kessler, whose Occupy activities may well have put him in operational cahoots with high-level Democrat operatives. And owing to the leniency of Virginia open carry laws, too many of Jason’s followers just had to parade their personal armories in all their camo combat gear, showing off their minuteman firepower. My first reaction at seeing those clowns strutting down the street like they were in Mosul was, like that of many of my fellow NRA members and military veterans, shaking my fist and yelling at the TV, “No! No! No, you idiots! No!” And that kind of award-winning stupidity makes me wonder if the head planner for the event, Jason Soros…er, Kessler, didn’t have that firepower demonstration all lined up and ready to go precisely to make those right-wing tools look just like the fools they were being, while scaring the bejeezus out of the lefties, blacks, and MSM twerps.

There’s still not enough evidence on the actual violence, other than the schizophrenic kid who ran over the woman, to make any kind of assessment as to who did what in the confrontations between the right-wing demonstrators and the surprisingly strong counter-demonstration. I have to wonder if this Kessler fellow, strong Barack Obama-supporter that he is, had a hand in making sure his Alt-Right marchers were clearly guaranteed to encounter a strong crowd of riled up counter-protesters as well. The reporting of Kessler’s background, as well as that of Charlottesville mayor and Democrat activist Mike Signer and Vice Mayor Wes Bellamy, has convinced me that Charlottesville was a Democratic Party black operation, planned, organized, and carried out to its successful conclusion, to make the media portray all these conservative whites as stupid, racist, and violent. I believe that it was done by this soulless young man, who succeeded in selling himself to the dumb-bunny right-wingers as one of them.

  1. Same reason they have to perpetuate the false narrative poster children in police shootings…without manufacturing it, there’s simply not enough evidence to support the claims.

    Manufactured reality…the next best thing.

  2. Great points Poe, and no doubt probably more accurate than we’d hope… but you know the subject matter is going to attract a certain two individuals who won’t be able to control themselves, and will come here to spew the party line… just saying..

    1. lol…it’s like a hamster on a wheel once their opening posts hit though. Entertaining, but not for long.

    2. There were still plenty of useful retards in both halves of the crowd, but this certainly casts the whole thing in a very different light. Violence erupting between two (relatively spontaneous) opposing demonstrations is one thing. Violence erupting as part of an orchestrated spectacle is something else entirely.

      1. Ah yes indeed, violence erupting as part of an orchestrated spectacle is indeed a fish of a different feather, for every personal injury lawer in the nation, 90% Democrats, start salivating when they see a wrongful death that occurs at the hands of those with very deep pockets such as the City of Charlottesville and the Governor of Virginia.

    3. How are they gonna feed their starving families if they don’t troll for that sweet sweet Soros money?! I truly believe our resident loons are paid to troll.

  3. Not one bit surprised.

Weren’t there professional agitators during the early days of labor unions? And ditto, the Vietnam war protesters? Don’t tell me there was no one behind any of that, pushing an agenda.

    1. I believe the evidence is that the Vietnam war protestors were stirred up by paid Kremlin operatives.

It would not surprise me to learn that the unions have received a goodly portion of Kremlin funding as well.

Soros & ilk are as evil, and possibly corroborating with Ruskies as well. That demoniac has no scruples.

              1. He’s going to Bezerkley to “pursue a doctorate in history”… been there since 2012.

        1. An ethnic Jew who sold out other Jews to the SS to save his own ass. I don’t buy all the antisemitic “Zionist” horseshit, I’m just pointing out that Soros would sell his own family for personal gain.

There’s a special place in Hell waiting for that cocksucker.

    2. Such false flags are a staple of the commie playbook going all the way back to Marx himself [spit]. Anarchists used that trick, too.

  4. Waffen SS Spec-Ops raided and destroyed a Nazi radio station in Danzig and blamed it on the Poles to start off WWII.

For good measure, they also left behind a bunch of dead bodies of concentration camp inmates dressed in Polish uniforms to complete the charade.

    I’m just sayin’…

    1. Yeah, false flag operations are nothing new for socialists in their many flavors, and contrary to those two “learned individuals” talking points, nazi=socialist=left…

  5. I have been hesitant to comment on this as I believe in keeping dirty laundry in house. I recognized a former team mate that was one of the shit bird white supremacist. The last time I saw him was during Desert Shield when CID agents were escorted into our area at KKMC Kung Khalid Military City Saudi Arabia and he was arrested for selling explosives and ammo to white supremacist. He was tried, convicted and sent to prison.

Imagine my surprise when I see him on video at Charlottesville. The guy standing out front with the Florida patch is Mike Tubbs.

    1. Unfortunately, as someone pointed out on another thread, the military, just like the population at large, has it’s share of shitbags.. sad but true.

      1. True but not all shitbags are equal. This guy is a shot caller and a force multiplier.

    2. Ok Tony.

That Derek Gannon doesn’t click with me. He claims to be SF. Is that true?

I smell a left bent in the way he writes and the worsa he uses.

And he have an article defending the SRT, the famous gender neutral and the most hated physical program in the Army right now.

      I don’t know.

Can I see a DD214, or whatever it is you retirees call the civilian ERB?

      1. I don’t know Derek Gannon but SOFREP writers are vetted. I do know Mike Tubbs having served with him up until the day CID agents arrested him at KKMC for selling explosives and ammunition to white supremacist.

Who’s DD214 are you asking to see??

        1. Derek Gannon’s.

But that’s ok. I feel that I can take a face value that SOFREP vetts his writers, until proven wrong, if proven wrong.

  6. Could be, Poe! Kessler though did expose that asshole Vice Mayor Wes Bellamy’s racist and sexist tweets and posts and has really kept the heat on him…I doubt I have the bigger picture and I imagine that kessler’s actions may have, intended or not, tipped the scales that led to the controversial city council decision to go big and expel Lee and Jackson from downtown…Bellamy was in hot water and this was a great way to deflect attention from his moral shortcomings…now we’ve got nation-wide shit storms

  7. My own take on open-carry is that it’s a good thing as long as it’s not abused. Do I need to sling a black rifle to pick up a dozen eggs from the grocery store? No. Is the clerk at that store prudent in wearing a sidearm? Yes.

Sure, there’s plenty of settings in which having a pistol visibly riding your belt is a good thing. There’s lots of others where it’s better to keep it concealed. There’s also times where carrying a rifle around is not a bad idea, generally in rural settings. Wearing 50 pounds of tacticool with your equally-overloaded AR at the bus stop to troll the whiners is just being an ass.

    1. Open Carry with a LTC is legal in Texas.

I know there may be times that I would open carry. I prefer stealth mode. If they don’t know I carry, the perps cannot target me first.

  8. The police sure did a great job staying out of the way/sight. It was almost like they were told to stand buy and do nothing.

    1. Well, the mayor of C-ville is a prog(spit), and the vice mayor, Wes Bellamy is a racist prog(spit). Bellamy was forced to resign from the Virginia Board of Education because of his racist Twitter account. Think about it, a racist prog on the state board of ed.

The mayor and vice mayor give orders to the Chief of Police, so he does what he’s told. I’ve read that he was given a stand-down order, which he now denies. He did admit, grudgingly, that there was violence from both sides at the fuster cluck that was Saturday.

  9. There is NO LOW that the left will not stoop to in order ti pimp their agenda, PERIOD.

    1. See my comment below about who paid for protesters to show at Charlottesville.

It is probably the same source that paid for them to show up and protest violently in WDC, after the election and elsewhere (remember ‘someone has to die’?) and in Chicago for that women’s march. Ask yourself how so-so actress Ashley Judd suddenly appeared with a speech when she’s usually quiet on the sidelines.
These people are getting paid to do these things, like any mercenaries.

      See my comment below.

    1. He’s biting his nails in panic and praying for the talking points to be distributed soon.

      1. Well, I, for one, support his right to say his piece, no matter if I agree with him or not.

          1. So aggressive. ..

I was just making an innocent comment.

And by the way there is no freedom of speech in private enterprise. The owners have the right to ban whoever they want.

This is me showing off what I have learned about American laws, thanks to google translate.

    2. My posts are filtered now.

I was already outnumbered on this site. Now I am posting with one hand tied behind my back.

One thing this week has taught me is it is a waste of time to argue with the far right and the alt-right. They might have the support of the president but they do not have the support of the nation.

And they are losing support every week the president is in office.

        1. Well, since your only purpose is to start an argument with someone over nothing, based solely on the fact that they disagree with your viewpoint – which they do have a right to do – then labeling them as alt-right or far right or anything else indicating an undeserved extremist label is what gets you moderated, especially when you have no proof for your labeling.

You need to start your own blog where your incoherent ramblings and your personal points of view are not moderated by anyone except you, and no one can argue with you.

Of course, it takes time to build a following, but persistence makes it work, COMMISSAR.

          1. There’s a certain word used to describe people like Commissar… BIGOT:

“a person who is obstinately or intolerantly devoted to his or her own opinions and prejudices; especially : one who regards or treats the members of a group (such as a racial or ethnic group) with hatred and intolerance”

            Here’s your sign, Commissar…

      1. “They might have the support of the president but they do not have the support of the nation.”

        ah, speaking of manufactured reality

        1. It is the delusional perception of many in both the US and other MSM outlets.

I get mildly irritated at some Welt, Der Spiegel, or BBC buffoon pontificating on what is “really” going on in the US of A. They no more have a clue than the talking heads on the Today Show.

        2. Speaking of ‘manufactured reality’, I distinctly remembered Pres. Trump condemning both sides of that particular political fence in the aftermath of the Charlottesville dustup. I can probably find the video with that bit of speech on it, but it was run several times on the news last night, so it isn’t just me and my less-than-perfect brain saying this.

          1. I posted the videos in the other thread.Trump’s press conference and Mark Dice’s video of Trump’s denouncements of such organizations and David Duke repeatedly by name.

      2. I believe you were warned beforehand, Compañero.
Although I further believe some posters have a knee-jerk negative reaction to anything you post – sorry to say.

May I go on record deploring mindless name-calling?

(I had to say “mindless” ’cause I have been known to call some SV types and a few others names, but hopefully not “mindlessly”.)

        1. I have tried to be clever about name-calling. But I have also tried, hard, to tone it -way- down lately.

Not an easy habit to break.

        2. I also wish to go on record as repudiating any “alt-right” or “far right” labels that the MSM is so desperate to paste on my pigeon-hole they try to force me into.

While this is what they wish to say I, and those like me, are – my record puts the lie to that smear.

        3. Graybeard, I’m with you on all this silly name-calling crap, but you have to admit, Lars brings much of it on himself with opening sentences like,

          “You’re full of shit, Poe!”

          1. Acknowledged.
And I’ve been as guilty as anyone here. I’m lookin’ in the mirror while preachin’

        4. I completely refute being labeled anything. I am, and always have been, an independent voting in both lanes. If anything, that makes me someone who can think for herself and choose how to cast her vote.

Also, I would like to point out at this time that no one is required to designate which way or for whom s/he voted. We have a secret ballot for a very good reason: this ain’t an effing dictatorship. It’s a free country, and it had damned well better stay that way.

          1. I’ve noticed that there is a tendency to try to force folks into some sort of box of a “special interest” group to divide us.

Woe betide those who refuse to stay in their assigned box!

          2. Tough bananas, Graybeard. If I refuse to discuss such political crap, it is my right to do so.

            Freedom ain’t free.

            1. Yep. But some folks just won’t let sleeping dogs lie.

Then they cry when they get their adz bit.

      3. Odd. LC argues frequently. Folks argue back. LC also runs a rather cool demeanor, even when folks fling poo, or call him Commissar.

        1. But LC is not commissar, as has frequently been pointed out. He does ramble, but he is not that other person.

          1. Well aware of it. That is my point.

Despite being repeatedly called by someone else’s alias, one that around here is often equated to a less than complimentary one, LC keeps his cool.

            1. Pretty much everyone here wants whats best for this country, even if we disagree with how to go about reaching that goal. I can respect that, and them, despite our political differences.

        2. And Joe is not Commissar, either.

You’ve got to admit that Commissar is much more erudite than Joe appears to be.

          1. You may notice that Joe has disappeared since last night. It may be owing to his calling me a Nazi, which was his only response to anything I said.

He was/is a destestable, despicable little toad. May he be eaten by the very things he pursues.

            1. He’s been moderated, too, he hasn’t been back to make that discovery, though. So has that fellow from Texas. I have to tolerate this leftist bullshit in the real world, but I don’t have to tolerate it in my house.

              1. BINGO! Better words could not be spoken.

I come way more often than I leave words.

Mostly because the good folks who do most of the talking I agree with. What I don’t understand about the left and their supporters is why do they stay here. Why not go to one of those utopian countries they so desire to turn this one into.

Then those who support “socialism” but haven’t a clue. Technology makes it so easy if you want to “know” what it really is. Then you have the “experts” on socialism spouting how these countries have failed because the leaders really didn’t understand “true” socialism.

Socialism, communism, socialist democracy, et al – ends up being a dictatorship. Just ask Venezuela.

                1. Yeah, I got tired of this blog being called racist and alt-right and all of the other stupid labels. I don’t think that we can be pigeon-holed.

              2. That fellow is from Florida. He just moved to Texas at some point. He was evasive as to when so I don’t think he has lived here long. He should just call himself Nomad and leave Texas out of it.

                1. Think he mentioned living in Houston.. not a huge shock as Austin and Houston are the most “liberal” cities in the state.

      4. “They might have the support of the president”

I think it is far more likely that they have your support in a twisted communist sort of way.

      5. Didn’t you tell us that Trump had no chance to get elected? That the R’s were losing support every week? Wasn’t that you?

      6. there isn’t a far-right or alt-right, you damn knucklehead. Both terms are made up by the media pressing the lefts talking points and you boy just happen to fall into their scheme of things. Maybe Taylor, you need to sit down, grow a pair of balls, shut the fuck up and until you realize and acknowledge it, stay sat down.

It is true, this is a suggestion.

        1. I think the term ‘alt-right’ was made up by Breitbart, so it is a ‘thing’ outside of the MSM. As for ‘far’ right, I think that exists too – it’s just people who push for policies at the edge of the GOP. Much like the ‘far left’ also exists.

Funny thing is, I don’t think most people here differentiate the ‘far left’ from the ‘left’ – the far left drives me, a sometimes-left person, absolutely crazy. They push stuff like open borders, microaggressions, safe-spaces, etc., that many on the left don’t support.

          1. The reason that happens is that the left’s “brightest” stars, those that get the most air time and veneration from the media, are all raving nut jobs who push a far-left agenda.

      7. You could always start your own site, Commissar. Maybe even get a troll of your own. The question is, who trolls the troll?

        1. Uhh, who watches the watchers?
Excellent paraphrasing. Didn’t know you read comics too.
          I mean, graphic novels.
I don’t buy the Marvel vs DC. I like them both. And Manga too.

          1. Quis custodiet ipsos custodes dates from the Roman poet Juvenal. A little before graphic novels by about 18 centuries.

      8. Your posts are filtered … you’re outnumbered … I think I know why.

        You are, basically, wrong.

        About everything. (Well, almost everything.)

        How’s that?

  10. Although I try not to buy into conspiracy theories, there are indeed some strange circumstances going on with Charlottesville. It’s almost as though McAuliffe and Charlottesville Mayor Mike Signer might have cooked up a plan to put an end to Confederate monument protests once and for all. Or they wanted to embarrass the current administration. Or something else entirely. Or all of the above.

Here are interviews done on both sides after the protests. It’s interesting how the police had apparently been ordered to stand down.

As pointed out in the “Doxed” thread, there’s also the matter of Jason Kessler of Unite the Right, and his apparently strong past support for the Obama administration, and the Occupy movement. Scroll down far enough, and Kessler provides a sort of goofy “redpill” explanation for this change of loyalties.

Something also curious is that for players such as McAuliffe and Soros, the risk seems awfully high for the so-far-evident potential benefit. Did they not think they were going to get caught, or did they not care, or was there a critical high-stakes goal nobody is yet aware of that made the risk worth it?

Personally, I’d bet the next round there’s another shoe that hasn’t dropped yet.

      1. Pessimist. While you are squirming, they didn’t have enough votes to impeach Bill Clinton.

      2. David, that column seems like a lame opinion piece by a woman at Brookings. The main problem with it is that in order for the President to be impeached, he must have committed a crime of “treason, bribery, or other high Crimes and misdemeanors.”

The fact that a majority of the Senate merely doesn’t like the President doesn’t cut it. It’s likely Elaine C. Kamarck knows this, but chooses not to mention it because she’s a partisan hack and not a real journalist.

As pointed out recently, there was amazingly in Salon of all places, a piece about how special prosecutor Robert Mueller has turned things in Russiagate upside down and still has found President Trump not actually suspected of anything except, depending on your politics, being a pain in the butt:

        http://www.salon.com/2017/08/10/the-gripping-story-behind-the-case-for-trump-putin-collusion_partner/

The two links above are also broken due apparently to my text editor. They should be:

        http://www.latimes.com/nation/la-na-charlottesville-witnesses-20170815-story,amp.html

        http://www.wnd.com/2017/08/setup-man-behind-white-supremacist-rally-supported-obama/

      3. Impeachment is their goal, not a realizable task. As an example – I believe Maxine Waters has been calling for it since before the Inauguration (which shows her deep knowledge of Constitutional law in a nutshell).

    1. Perry, with corporate execs and his own military leadership trying to distance themselves, I’d say the high stakes goal is pretty obvious, you must isolate the king before you kill him.

The way the media jumped on this, all howling the same message, sounds to me like they were the orchestra, lying in wait for the shoe to drop precisely when it did.

      1. So the news media is in charge now. The voters get to play-at-home the charade of picking who lives in the White House, but it’s subject to the whim of a Greek Chorus no one elected. And there is no longer anybody to watch the watchers.

I’ve probably pointed out before that I have, fundamentally, a high regard for the press as a necessary part of a functional democracy. The fact that the news media has veered wildly away from its responsibilities in that regard is disgusting.

Once they get rid of President Trump, are the New York Times and Washington Post then going to choose if we get a return of St. Barack, or are they going to drag Hillary’s tired old butt out of Brooklyn for the White House job? Or maybe they’ll have Jon Stewart do it since he’s so incredibly clever and doesn’t have much else going lately. Stephen Colbert would probably be willing, but he’s got that late night gig now.

It might be nice if the current media let us mere citizens know what plans they have for us, but it’s probably too much to hope for.

      2. Poetrooper, if you are referring to a Vanity Fair article that Pres. Trump is losing control of the military, you are falling for the same sucker ticket that allows me to sell you the Brooklyn Bridge.
        That article: https://www.vanityfair.com/news/2017/08/donald-trump-military-white-supremacism-response
is nothing but an op-ed piece. Where are Nguyen’s backups for what she says?
All I see in the AOL article is links to responses from politicians.
        https://www.aol.com/article/news/2017/08/16/us-military-leaders-are-distancing-themselves-from-trumps-charlottesville-rhetoric/23079036/

This is crap reporting designed to cause divisiveness, nothing else.

        1. I’m just here to tune the piano, but it seems to me a couple of Asians trashing White people is itself kind of bigoted. Which is arguably what’s going on when the media starts blowing the White Supremacist or White Nationalist dog whistle. It also seems evident that neither Tina Nguyen or David Choi actually talked to anybody while putting together the stories. What they did was interpret a series of tweets or other stories in a way to fit the narrative they wanted to build.

Doing an actual interview with someone in the military might have generated actual facts which could have caused unpleasantness. Here’s some background:

Tina Nguyen is barely out of Claremont McKenna College where she got a BA in Government, not journalism. She works for Vanity Fair editor Graydon Carter who hates Donald Trump, and has for years. Back in the day, Carter’s vitriol might have prompted a challenge to duel with pistols and seconds at dawn, but for now Carter remains a fussy old sissy who probably complains when the maid isn’t careful enough ironing his silk boxers.

The Aol story by David Choi actually originated at Business Insider where Choi works for editor Henry Blodget. It seems Blodget started Business Insider when he was banned from the securities industry for life for being a liar. Neither Choi, nor Blodget apparently have any formal training in journalism. BI is also now owned by the giant German media conglomerate Axel Springer.

    2. If Trump -is- impeached, and removed, merely for being a free-speaking opponent fo the left and of the Establishment, the wheels will come off the bus.

The Anti-Free types have -completely- misread how popular he is with Americans. Not with politicians. Not with Republicans. Not with the “establishment”. With -Americans-.

The American folk who’s political philosophy starts at “America, Fuck yeah!” And winds up with “America, Fuck Yeah!!!”

If someone tries seriously to remove Trump prior to the expiration of his elected term, those folks are -absolutely- going to lose their shit. Like “Convention of States” lose it, if we are -lucky-. Like “Hang the bastards from lampposts” -bloodbath- if we are not.

Clinton lost because the “AFY” crowd voted Trump -Big time-. Those folks may lean somewhat right on average, but they span the whole reasonable-rational spectrum. Folks fed up with DC bullshit, fed up with America-shaming at every turn, and fed up with a “two party” system that is more and more a matching pair of boots, the kind that stands on necks, or worse. Who is stamping today? left boot or right?

All different, but all supporting the same.

Folks decided going into the last election that they were so smart that they had to win. Having lost, bad, they now think it was a fluke, and that they can win by doubling down. The results of that -very- foolish decision will be epic in scope, and likely disastrous.

Some folks just have to learn the hard way. Remember. You were shown where your path leads. Don’t whine about it when you get there.

      1. Sometimes I wonder if these folks don’t want it to turn into a civil war with the goal of destroying America from within.

Which appears to be the endgame of the Soros-funded groups.

Much like the ISIS types want an Armageddon thinking it will bring in the reign of Allah-pedophile, they want something that they perceive will end up with them on top – or at least America destroyed.

Remember what follows “divide” in the old saw.

        1. And if we are destroying ourselves from within, our adversaries with nukes may pile on…none of us win

      2. 11B Right on. And assuming best case scenario, no future presidential election will ever have any legitimacy.

    3. I was talking about this today at work. Something just didn’t, for me, pass the smell test. I told my buddy that Soros ( or a combination of folks/organizations) are more than likely behind this.

  11. So…. The Anti-Free socialists staged a “Reichstag fire”, and baited the Un-Free socialists into a fight. ~”someone” told the LEOs to stay out of it.

Previously, i witheld what were going to be snarky joke comments about “someone” winding up Crash Bandikook so he would go off in the right place.

Now, based on Poe’s info, I really have to wonder.

The Marx types will throw -anyone- under the bus to gain power. They wouldnt hesitate to provoke someone on the other side.

I wonder who shows up when the FBI pulls his cellphone records.

    1. No matter what, though…. we can’t judge the actions of Muslims by the actions of a few, the actions of minorities and illegal immigrants by the actions of a few…. but thou shalt judge “GUILTY” of all cops, whites, and gun owners by what a handful do.

By the way, notice the cops are catching hell because they didn’t beat hell out of folks? Just can’t win…

    2. How about we wait and see? If this was a false-flag operation, it was pretty fucking poorly conceived if it was discovered so fast. Why pick a guy who has a digital trail showing involved in the Occupy movement and Obama support? And even then, that’s just the leader – the various militia and white-power assholes who showed up have their bonafides.

Suggesting the Democrats, who generally are incapable of any sort of plan, successfully conducted an operation to get a bunch of idiots battling each other on the off-chance that one of the racists, instead of one of the Antifa (because it’s certainly a real possibility) killed an innocent, peaceful protester, all in the hopes that a tweet-crazy President would go off the rails and say something dumb to hurt his position… well, that’s pretty god damn crazy, in my opinion. Let’s see what comes out, but I’m going with Hanlon’s Razor on this – don’t attribute to malice that which can be explained by stupidity. Kessler falls under that umbrella, I’d wager.

  12. I was at Occupy.

If Kessler was involved in Occupy it is not evidence he is an Obama supporter and not even evidence he is a leftist.

Obama ignored occupy. They was a tremendous amount of anger toward the democratic party among Occupy participants and frustration and dissatisfaction with Obama. If people were happy with democrats and Obama Occupy would never have happened.

In fact Occupy was essentially a reaction to the FAILURES of the democratic party and the failures of Obama to hold people accountable for the financial collapse.

Occupy had tens of thousands of people. Oakland alone had thousands. While it had mostly left wing participants – even in Oakland, a decidedly left wing city, there were right wing participants. Libertarian anti-state types and “burn the system down types”, as well as nationalists that believed our country had been “hijacked”. There was also more than a few anti-Semitic “Jewish bankers are controlling our government” types.

If Kessler was there he could easily have been part of the right wing groups that were sprinkled in with occupy.

So there is no evidence Kessler was at Occupy. Even if he were at Occupy no evidence he is a “leftist”, And no evidence he is an Obama supporter. And no evidence he is connected to Soros. And no evidence Kessler orchestrated any outcomes in Charlottesville.

Poe’s claim is entirely baseless and completely a alt-right conspiracy without a shred of support beyond the alt-rights desire to believe it.

And it does not explain any of the events at Charlottesville anyway.

    It is all nonsense.

      1. This is all based on the same “source”.

Which is the Souther Poverty Law Center page on Kessler.

Which says that “Rumors abound on white nationalist forums that Kessler’s ideological pedigree before 2016 was less than pure and seem to point to involvement in the Occupy movement and past support for President Obama.”

Meaning the source is “rumors” on white nationalist sites.

This is all alt-right propaganda spin to try to deflect blame onto the left.

But the narrative makes no sense. Because even if Kessler was at Occupy it does not support any of the conspiracy speculation. Nor does it mean he was ever a leftist.

And even if he were once a leftist THAT still does not support the conspiracy.

      1. I worked in SFO during “Occupy” and walked past (and through) the encampment on the Embarcadero every day. Stinky barely begins to cover it. The we want free shit crowd with their animals, pissing and shitting everywhere, the usual homeless and psychos, they were all there. My favorite was a young dude with his sign “give me weed so I don’t get violent”.
They destroyed the bocci courts and continuously harassed tourists and passerbys.
When SFPD finally put the kibosh on them and swept them out there were cheers and applause from the merchants and others.
Occupy creds are not something to brag about.

    1. My thoughts as well. I was wondering when Old Poe would find a way to blame “the left” for what happened. Everything is a liberal conspiracy to him.

      1. As opposed to the “vast right wing conspiracy” that you leftists have been pushing for the last 20+ years? ok, just wanted to be sure i had that straight…

      1. Didn’t it turn out that many of the Occupy ‘participants’ were paid to be there? Some kind of astroturf movement?

And doesn’t that fit in with Poe’s concerns here?

    2. “I was at Occupy.”

Doing what “protesting” that some fleabag college stoodint who has spent seven years getting an “important” degree in say, Gender Studies” is automatically owed a job with a six figure salary and a home in Country Club Hills?

    3. I was in Vietnam.

If Ho Chi Minh was involved in the war it is not evidence he is a Marx supporter and not even evidence he is a Communist.

See how foolish that makes you sound Lars? Perhaps it’s your advanced solipsism that has you seeing yourself as the center of the universe and all human activity.

      1. “solipsism”
I thought it read priapism at first glance. I still had to look up.

          1. Did Mick just dropped a turd on the commissar?

Can’t tell. There was no change in the smell

    4. “I was at Occupy.”

      You “are” Occupy.
Typical leftest strategy to distance yourself from all you represent.

    5. Occupy had tens of thousands of people and tens of thousands different demands with no clear message.

Hell, I saw one particular group who was protesting self storage units.

When you have thousands of competing mesages you have no message. Simple as that.

    6. “I was at Occupy.”

Figures… and I was right when I called you a member of the Free Shit Army a while back.

You don’t think that Soros is handling the purse strings for all of the Antifa and other groups activities? And using the SLPC as a source when they have a very obvious left slant?

You’ve disgraced this blog with your bullshit and bigoted comments – you bring nothing but hate and vitriol to TAH (along with your libtard butt buddy Joe).

You don’t give a fuck about people other than yourself.

      1. “I was right when I called you a member of the Free Shit Army a while back.”

Says a guy that has lived off a taxpayer funded check every month of his entire adult life and will to his last breath.

        1. He earned -his- check, from this taxpayer’s point of view.

Nobody “gave” him any “free” shit.

          1. Collecting your hard earned pay as a member of the armed forces is NOT getting “free shit”.

Thank you HMCS(FMF) for your service and well earned retirement.

Even a reserve puke like me can understand the sacrifices made during your career.

            Major, that was pretty low.

            1. Domo, Dinotanker! I’m sure that you’ve made more than your fair share of sacrifices in your service.

        2. You want stuff for nothing, just like your Occupy buddies… I get the check for 26+ years of service to this country and guaranteeing your right to free speech, BIGOT.

          1. Never waste an opportunity to snort at someone’s version of a Cheltenham tragedy, Senior Chief.

            1. I had to look up Cheltenham tragedy – very appropriate for the board BIGOT, aka: Commissar.

        3. IF that is NOT the most hypocritical statement yet from that jackass, then what is it?

Isn’t he the one who rubs our peasant noses in the awesomeness of his military career? Isn’t HE a retired Army ossifer or retired Reserves or something?

So a military career for him is okay, but not for anyone else now?

Wow! Sheer hypocrisy at its most blatant manifestation, and I haven’t even swallowed my breakfast yet.

          1. You mean I could have sat on my ass with my hand outstretched instead of spending 100+ hour weeks at sea for years on end?

To quote Colonel Nathan Jessup, “Well, don’t I feel like a fucking asshole!”

          2. Why, yes, SAE, yes, you could have done that, but you wouldn’t have all those salty memories and souvenirs and ribbons and STUFF, if you had sat on your patootie.

        4. If it is earned by one’s service and labor, it is not free, Lars.

You’re not using your logic here, son, you’re letting emotion get in the way.

  13. Reading PT and these comments actually makes me feel better personally.

I figured I was just an old paranoid to be looking under the rocks when stuff like this happens.

Sure looks as if the old saw about “not really being paranoid if they are actually out to get you” has merit outside of my head.

ETA: Dang it! One comment toooooo late.

    1. No, Zero I do believe I brought this stuff up way back when we were boots on ground in DC. At the time, it felt an echo chamber…

  14. Speaking of Occupy and Charlottesville, a bunch of stank ass hippies took over Lee park in 2011 for about six weeks…they didn’t have a permit…shows you how fucking loopy the mayor and city council were and are…eventually, after lots of patience and negotiation, the police were finally allowed to evict…

    1. As I recall thermal imaging showed that many of the Occupy tents were empty at night. Especially as the weather got colder.

      1. I don’t doubt it…lots of noise but little apparent conviction. I was renting a studio apt across from Lee park at the time and after work would conduct Freedom of Navigation runs through the tent areas with my 110 pound rescue shepherd…it was great fun, at least for me and the pooch…

  15. Unite the Right published promotional material for their August 12 protest. The list of featured organizers/speakers were:
    Richard Spencer
    Mike Enoch
    Jason Kessler
    “Baked Alaska”
    Augustus Invictus
    Christopher Cantwell
    Matt Heimbach
    Johnny Monoxide
    Pax Dickenson
    Dr. Michael Hill

If you’re going to allege they are all Soros sock-puppets you’ve done a portion of 1/10th of your homework. As SPLC’s profile describes Kessler’s activism and transformation to white supremacist. He has his own twitter feed you can read it yourself. He describes December 2013 at the point he was “red pilled”.

Or just take his word for it:
“But make no mistake, the age of innocence is over for whites politically. We are becoming a displaced minority in our own country thanks to Democrat policies. They tax the hell out of middle class families who might want to have more children while paying for welfare queens to have 5 or 6 babies they can’t support. They provide sanctuary cities for illegal immigrants who flood in from south of the border and import Islamists from the most dangerous countries on Earth. The time for supplication is over. We need to fight back!” — “The End of Identity Politics: To Ensure Peace, Prepare for War” (12/23/2016).”

    1. Much like muslims, the left is encouraged to lie to cover their activities. And, the SPLC has as much credibility as does Billy Jeff’s admonition that “I did not have sex with that woman, Ms Lewinsky”.

      1. The SPLC says we got Nazis behind every tree in Vermont. I am still looking, but they are good at this hiding thing. sarc power

    2. I think you need to reread where PT makes the point the Kessler was a plant to sucker in the dumbasses to accomplish his goals, he never claimed that any of them were smart enough to be sock-puppets themselves, just useful idiots, of another flavor

      1. All extremists – the Antifa fascists, the neo-Nazis, the commies and socialists – are no more than useful idiots.

  16. What were the numbers of people that showed up, total of both sides, for Charlotteville? No one has provided that so far. Yet it gains more angst and air time than a plane crash.
A few hundred out of a total census population count of 310 millions gets more attention than a weather report. Must have something to do with bloodlust in the media. Otherwise, it has no explanation.

I said earlier that these displays of uncivilized behavior, property destruction, and unreasoning violence will do more to swing the political pendulum further to the right of the middle of the road than anything else. I still think putting these opponents into a giant stadium with weapons and a starter’s gun to signal the starte of a freeforall, winner takes all kind of thing is a good idea. Whoever survives wins the show.

These things are cyclical. The length of the cycle depends on how destructive the violence becomes. Remember Ferguson burning, and the aftermath of Rodney King being hammered by angry cops.

I sill carry the memory of looking out the 2nd floor window at NPC and seeing smoke rising over the Capitol Building, the day that Martin Luther King was killed. There was no reason to engage in looting and pillaging and destruction, but people did it anyway. It was nothing but an excuse to act out of control, uncivilized and violent, and destroy someone else’s property while you’re at it.

Since when does any of that have anything to do with civil rights or politics? NEVER. Anyone who thinks or says it does is lying in his teeth.

Why would I say this? Because during the New York City blackouts there was extensive looting and destruction and rioting, for no purpose at all other than to cause damage. The same thing happened in 2011 with London neighborhoods burning to the ground. There was no political motivation there. It was about committing mayhem and destruction, no matter who got hurt. Yes, I do know what started the 2011 London riots. I saw it as it happened. It was NOT politics.

It just showed then, and it shows again now, how thing the veneer of civilization really is. So I state firmly that anyone who thinks that all this turmoil is about anything other than destroying this country from within is dead wrong. You should leave now, while you still have a chance to do so.

America is MY country. Love it or leave it.

    1. In order to get protest permits, the City of Charlottesville asked for estimates of crowd size. The Unite the Right circus said it was going to be around 500. When permits were also granted for the anti-Unite the Right traveling carnival, they made an estimate of 1000 for their side. So far, no one post-protest has said those numbers were off by very much.

(Disclaimer: For those insufferably literal-minded TAH commenters, be advised that the word “Right” is subject to certain interpretations which can cause discomfort under certain circumstances. Be aware too that it wasn’t really a “circus,” nor was it a “carnival.” Such expressions are called “metaphors” and can sometimes be micro aggressive trigger words for the humor impaired. Find a safe space or seek professional help if such a condition exists, or if you’re Lars…)

    2. So 1500 unruly skanks out of a national population of 310 million NOT unruly citizens are worth more attention for the media than the rest of us who want nothing to do with them?

That shows you exactly how low the media will go to try to exert their influence when in fact, it is beginning to fade.

The internet may represent an open gate for the crazypants crowds of people who are angry all the time, but it also gives the rest of us an opportunity to NOT be them, to NOT be destructive and to show our future generations that this is what will/can happen when you stop being vigilant about freedom.

Never take it for granted. It’s too easily lost.

      1. I saw a post on FB that pointed out that while some 200-500-ish neo-Nazis showed up for something that was planned weeks in advance, and some 1,000-ish counter-extremists showed up also with prior planning, some 52-million Americans went to church the following Sunday.

But everyone looks at the children throwing a temper-tantrum.

    3. Somebody said something previously about people being paid to show up for this protest. If you look long enough, you can stumble across things that confirm your suspicions.
It seems that a company called Crowds on Demand hires people to show up for any activity requiring groups of people for rallies, protests, flash mobs, etc., at a the rate of $25/hr.

If, as Infowars asks, your cause is worthwhile and valid, why would you need to pay people to show up?

You’ve been wondering who was paying for these protesters to do what they do? This is the link to the craigslist ad:
      https://charlotte.craigslist.org/tfr/d/actors-and-photographers/6253305119.html

Here’s a link to the Infowars article:
      https://www.infowars.com/why-was-this-crowd-hire-company-recruiting-25-an-hour-political-activists-in-charlotte-last-week/

I have a screen shot of the ad, just to make sure it doesn’t suddenly disappear from public perusal.

Find out who is funding Crowds on Demand and you’ll get to the bottom of these destructive riots. This is as sleazy as you can get.

        1. Adam Swart & Crowds on Demand do NOT turn up as registered business entities with Cal SoS, City of Los Angles nor County of Los Angeles

    4. All the democraps gathered in Springfiedl, IL to trounce the GOPer governor Rauner and Pres. Trump. They all think they have the upper hand, including Chris Kennedy of – yes – those Kennedys.

It ain’t over until WE say it’s over.

  17. “Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances”.

This applies to nazi’s, the klan and sparkle ponies. The thing these idiots seemed to forget is where it says “peaceably to assemble”.

I will say that the images from Charlottesville, with the white supremacist flags, nazi memorabilia and brazen klan members, out in the open with their asshattery, made me sick to my stomach. Both sides itching for a fight, yelling obscenities, beating each other with weapons in the streets of America. The. Streets. Of. America. Sad.

  18. Once again may I make a plea to those of you who keep breaking it off in Lar’s ass to please just lighten up on the boy a little. I want to keep him here because he keeps my comments count up. And really, wouldn’t be awfully boring if we all just agreed with each other. If all I ever got was praise, I’d probably slash my wrists out of boredom.

Lars, you may be fulla shit as the proverbial Christmas turkey but as far as Ol’ Poe is concerned you’re welcome any time.

    1. If he throws in the towel, I’ll gladly play Lars to your Batman. I’ve already proven I can get your dander all riled up. Just give me the word. You will have to pay me in bourbon though.

      1. You can’t imagine how much it pains me to say this, W2, but I believe you have too much common sense to be Lars. Not that much, mind you, but just enough to disqualify you. You’d end up agreeing with me too often and what’s the fun in that?

But thanks for volunteering for a thankless job…

        1. Damn, I was looking forward to drinking your bourbon while writing my snarky comments. Well, keep me in mind, just in case.

    2. It’s not about agree/disagree, Poe. It’s his sneering attitude toward everyone, which seems to be aimed solely at pissing people off. He’s got himself sitting on some lofty pedestal that he thinks makes him superior to the rest of us dumb peons, and we’re just too stupid to live.
You can have a civilized debate any time without being a jackass and without provoking people into anger.
I think he’s still running his experiment to see what it takes to piss people off, sort of like crowd control. If that’s the case, he should just go elsewhere.

      1. The last straw for me was when he lied about all Marines getting a certificate for graduating boot camp. He dug up an honorman certificate and a acceptance letter given by recruiters to poolees.
Despite me educating him on exactly what they were he never came back and acknowledged he was mistaken.
I can totally see how Commissar was shunned away from any type of command and put in Civil Affairs.
There was no way someone of his ilk should have been commissioned. It’s not his politics, its his character that is totally lacking.
He is the type of officer I would have broken if I had been stuck with him.

        1. I would have been asking the XO or CO, “You let this assclown in to the wardroom? What do you do with him, put him in a highchair in the corner with a sippy cup?”

          1. He’s the type of person who would get people killed by not listening to his sergeants.

          2. That or he was the type of Officer that would fuck things up with micromanagement every time he had the chance. He reminds me of a few missions we had where we were escorting Officers like him around for little more than for them to hear gunfire so they could qualify themselves for another decoration. Can you picture a pissy-headed toxic personality like him in command of a unit? GOD I would so pity those Personnel!!!

            1. Yes, Captain Stillman was like that, wasn’t he? Played to perfection by John LaRoquette.

      2. Ex-PH2, if the boy didn’t have a snotty, know-it-all attitude, he wouldn’t be much of a liberal now would he? Think about it…do we really want a second-rate liberal representing all their lunatic ideas here at TAH or do we want the real deal, a bonafide, sneering, know-more-than-anyone blue to his bones liberal?

        Like Joe for instance.

Quit rockin’ the boat or you might scare the delicate little fellow off. If that boy’s panties ever come outta that twist they’re in all at one time, he’ll never get his legs together again in this lifetime.

        Know whut I mean?

    3. If he would -just- learn to stop pissing in Jonn’s coffee, he would have a lot less difficulties posting his stuff here.

I concur on the need for debate.

And sometimes, the heartfelt post of the opposition is the best recruiter for one’s own side.

  19. So watching interviews with the marchers, one of their three objectives was, and I quote, “to kill Jews”. And you guys are looking for a reason to blame the other side?

    1. Absolutely the perfect words for a paid actor to say to scare the living shit out of all the liberal Jews to keep those contributions and votes coming.

      Right, Joe?

Or was that too subtle for you?

    2. Happy Saturday Joe.

As disgusting as their words are joe, they had a permit and they have the right to free speech. It applies to BLM, the KKK, CAIR, AntiFa, the NRA, the Anarchists (anarchist organizations…there’s an oxymoron), Nazis, Communists, etc.

Why does it only matter to you if it’s one particular group?
