  39. Social Security??? I started working at age 14 in 1970, 42 years ago. My last SS statement says if I work another 12 years, I’ll get $1,700 a month. I will work for the city of Phoenix another five years, for a total of 25 years and will get a projected pension of $2,000 a month. I’ve had a 401(k) since I hired on with the city and a 401(a) for the past 10 years. My 401(k) will pay me a projected $1,600 a month and my 401(a) will pay me a projected $400 a month. So for SS, I will have worked 54 years to get $1,700 a month. I will have worked 25 years for the city of Phoenix paying into private retirement accounts and will receive approximately $4,000 a month. Almost 2 1/2 times in retirement in 25 years. I fully believe private retirement accounts work. Disregard my city pension and in 25 years I’ll still make $300 more in 25 years than in 54.

  43. I think that this debate is pretty much done. Joe is the same angry, upset, upsetting, lying old fool that he’s always been. Nobody has heard a word either said – this is all about poise and body language. Gee, it’s almost like Paul Ryan did some preparation and has some self control.
