  1. Perfect score, even though one was a 50-50 educated guess. And to think, I haven’t watched any of the news channels in years…

  2. Only 1 wrong. It doesn’t tell you which ones were wrong, but I think, for me, it was most likely the one about how many troops are currently in Afghanistan.

That’s what comes of paying attention to the news – and ignoring the MSM.

  3. 11/12.

I guessed 150,000 in the ‘Stan. It was actually 70,000. I should have known that, and even so, I’m absolutely shocked that’s all that we have in that immense immense country.

We should have close to 500k.

  4. 12 of 12, right, that is… Just one of those folks who gets his news from the not-news Fox News.

  5. I also got only the Afghan troop level wrong and find it odd that although I we read milblogs we can’t say what the troop levels are.

  6. 11 out of 12. the Treasury question got me, Bernacke. Had to make a couple educated guesses though.

  7. You correctly answered 11 out of the 12 possible questions, which means you did better on the quiz than 93% of the general public.

I got the troop levels wrong as well. I thought we had 150k, but I was thinking 70K as well, and chose the larger.

  8. Got 11 correct. Troop level was only one I missed. You know, the sad thing is, most Americans (including illegal aliens) would not get half of these right, and so many of them are allowed to vote. We should not only have an ID requirement but an intelligence requirement. Look where stupidity got us this time.

  9. Well Jonn…so far I’m low man on the totum pole…2 wrong…I just Hate the majority of the media outlets…I’m starting to believe that watching or listening to the MSM kills brain cells, so I try to avoid them so that I can save the few I have left…

  10. Here’s Your Score: You correctly answered 11 out of the 12 possible questions, which means you did better on the quiz than 93% of the general public.
got the troops question wrong – 150k instead of 70k

  11. 12 of 12.

Kinda shocked at the number here who got the troop level in Afghanistan wrong. To quote defendUSA but on a different subject, “oy”

  12. I too am surprised how many got the troop level wrong. I missed what appears the number 2 trip up question, had the Fed chairman wrong, 11/12

  13. Heh,

I also got 11/12, but I got the troop level correct. It was the DOW-Jones average that I blew. I hadn’t realized it had gone closer to 10,000. Not having any money to invest in stocks, I hadn’t been paying attention to it as of late.

  14. LOL @ Jonn and Tankerbabe!!! I got the troop levels right!! My incorrect one was the health cost one — I was a cynic and figured it was a trick question.

  15. I only missed the one about health care spending, but to be fair, I think the question was poorly worded-as it doesn’t state whether we’re talking about how much the government spends, how much individuals spend, etc. etc.

  16. Marilyn,
I thought that might be a trick question too and almost went with “equal”. But then if it really was the Dems wouldn’t have a case to take it over….

  17. AS

Is health care spending per person in the U.S. higher, lower, or about the same as in most major European nations?

seems like an either, or question to me, just an “overall” figure.

  18. Your Pew Political IQ Score

Here’s Your Score: You correctly answered 12 of the 12 possible questions along with approximately 2% of the public. You did better than 98% of the general public.

    Yeah baby!!

  19. Aced it. Guess I just got lucky like I did on the ASVAB. So how the hell did I pass Nuke School if they didn’t have multiple guess there?

  20. I got 12/12. 2% of the population. Let’s see. I read books and newspapers, online of course. I don’t watch the Today show, the view, orange county wifes, and bs like that. I am a conservative Christian. Hmmmm maybe that is why I did so well.
