Methinks he either diddled his DD-214 or his unit had the most incompetent records clerk in the Corps. Misspellings abound and the misuse of the ampersand is egregious. Yes, the poggy rope wasn’t issued to any units after WW1, but I believe that those units who were awarded it are allowed to wear in perpetuity. It appears that he fits the adage “The older I get, the better I was.” POS no matter what for the embellishment
